This was a very nice, clean hotel.

The staff was great and very responsive. I was within walking distance of French Quarters and it was also right on the tram line.

very convenient....

Pros: location and staffing
Cons: air conditioning was loud
Location: very very convenient
was very happy that the hotel was so near the French Quarter and all good restaurants were in walking distance as were all the sights we wanted to visit...the staff was very helpful and the food in the café was excellent

Waste of my money

Book the hotel didn't say anything about not having any parking so they charged me 44 dollars to park my truck then get to the room smaller than my closet at home bed was so uncomfortable

Privacy violated

Pros: The room was spacious.
Cons: The facilities needs to be upgraded.
Location: It was very close to the French Quarter and public transportation to other parts of NOLA.
I was in a no-smoking floor, and marijuana could be smelt almost every day. On the first day, this led the staff to open my room, unannounced as my boyfriend and I lay in bed. We called out as we heard the card key and saw the door handle turning, and the staff person told us she was looking for the person smoking. I find it unacceptable that their method included violating my privacy by opening the door unannounced. In addition to this being a personal violation, it is not safe for the staff person, and this protocol needs to be changed immediately. The next day we were leaving as they began their hunt for the smoking room, so we were not subjected to additional intrusion. This hotel needs a facility upgrade. When I checked both in and out the system was down. There was evidence of wear and tear, including water stains on the bathroom ceiling and missing tiles in the elevator. Garbage, including empty water bottles and food container covers were left in the room after housekeeping cleaned.

Outdated, noisey

Check in was rough because the manager did not read my email correctly about first night missed due to mechanical failure of plane, so reservation was canceled. 1st room had soaking wet floor, and room had furniture that was waiting to be broken, mirror on door was horrible/gross. Very noisy with slamming of doors and hammering. Computers down so couldn't check out and mouse droppings in sheets of 1 of the beda

Pros: Location
Cons: Valet Parking , it is to expensive
Pros- It is a decent place. Location is very good. Personnel are kind and helpful Cons- You can hear to many noises in the rooms, even the ones faraway in the streets. They need to offer at least hot coffee in the lobby.

terrible parking

The hotel itself is alright, but the parking is a 20-30 minute walk from the hotel at $20/day. Storm hit the city the second day, imagine you walk in flooded streets to get your car!

Good spot in NOLA CBD

Pros: Great location next to Lafayette Park, right next to the St. Charles St trolley and within walking distance to the French Quarter and Bourbon St.
Cons: Internet! And the bathroom for sure.
Location: Walk outside the hotel and experience the city.
The Blake Hotel wasn't the highlight of my trip, but your hotel shouldn't be if you're going to NOLA.

Hotel is smaller than the pics on line

The room and bathroom are a lot smaller than what they appear in the pictures on line. I also woke up with several bug bites.

great loc near quarter, mall, acquarium, pub trans

No frills at this place. Elevator doubles as freight elevator, so mainly and maids on and off. No one helps with luggage. Door handle fell off, leaving us stuck until maintenance came. One day room not cleaned until requested at 6. Card keys stopped working (could be they thought we were checking out that day, but if so no reason to think that. That being said, the maintenance and maid staff came right away when called. Front desk daytime very nice and friendly -- evening not as much. Location great- street car stop and bus a block away. Short walk to mall, acquarium, quarter, great grocery, cvs (room has fridge and microwave). Also nice and quiet.
