Centrally located

Posted 20-Jul-2017
The Blake was a great hotel to be in the center of our convention locations. Everything was in walking distance and easy to get to. The room had no windows so it was very dark, but super quiet and that was nice. Overall room was clean and comfortable. I would stay here again.

Nice hotel

Pros: friendliness of staff and price
Location: close to everything!
My business partner and I stayed for 3 nights. It served us well as the beds were comfortable and it was close to everywhere we needed to go.

Great little hotel close to the French Quarter

Posted 08-Jul-2017
This hotel was wonderful. The staff was very helpful (broken foot). The bed was extremely comfortable which is crucial when one has a cast. The restaurant/ café that is connected to the hotel is delicious. This hotel is a gem at a great price.

This is one of the most weirdly ran hotel I've eve

Posted 04-Jul-2017
This is one of the most weirdly ran hotel I've ever been to! No only do I travel a lot but I worked as accounting clerk when I was in college at a major hotel chain, therefore, I know a lot of people who worked at different type of hotels. And it seems like everyone was new to their position at the Blake Hotel since they do not follow standard hotel/valet procedures. Pros: 1. ) Location: it is in the middle of the Superdome and the Convention center. Cons: 1.) This hotel need major upgrades for example the bathroom. There was a hole above the shower and it had toilet paper in it. 2.) The wifi: it is open without a password! That is so dangerous for the hotel and the guest using the wifi. 3.) Housekeeping: they are severely understaffed. They took four hours just to bring me toilet paper, a large trash bag and extra towels. And it would have taken even longer if housekeeping would've came by at 2:30p since the girl was unaware of my initial request. 4.) Valet parking; The Valet company does not have a working phone# and do not provide automatic incident reports when damage happens. 5.) Leaving: Their was no receipt under my door and rude girl at front desk Full review on Yelp or Pic. Limited characters here.

Very small bathroom and problem with AC/Heater.

Posted 04-Jul-2017
Pros: The staff
Cons: Everything other than the staff
Location: The location is great and there are a lot of things to do nearby
The room was very small and the bathroom was extremely small. The rooms would definitely need upgrade. The worst part is one could run either AC or heater and not switch from one to the other. We had to call a technician to turn on the heater as the room was too chill. He asked to decide on an appropriate temperature, because if it goes too hot, he said, we cannot cool down again without calling him. The carpets were too dirty and torn. We paid more than $100 for this hotel and it is a waste of money.

Close to Everything in Downtown New Orleans

Posted 02-Jul-2017
Pros: the staff is so polite and the location is great. When your in New Orleans you shouldn't be in the room too much other than resting
Cons: I had two separate reservations for 2 nights and was charged 2 different holds for incidentals that take a little while to fall off your card.
I like the location of the hotel its right by the streetcar line, a few blocks from the Superdome, Canal street, and harrahs. The staff is very nice and it's a few little glitches that can be fixed. The unexpected feeling of walking through wet spots in the carpet on the first night.

Great hotel close to the quarter

Posted 26-Jun-2017
The hotel has some older characteristics (locks are a little older and finicky), but the staff is awesome and the service was prompt. The rooms were nice and had everything you need.

The only reason I recommend this hotel is because it's walking distance to Bourbon Street and French Quarter.
