We love this area and are very happy with our stay at this cabin. It was roomy with comfortable beds and the cabin was very clean. We fished in the pond, explored the property and it is the perfect location for Buena Vista and Salida. We love to explore the collegiate peaks and this cabin was a great jumping off point with beautiful views of the mountains.
We loved the property! It was clean, great kitchen, and fit our family of 5 with room to relax! We hiked Mt Antero and it was about 22 minutes to the 2WD trail head- very easy to get to!
Enjoyed the location along with stream fishing on the property
Overall it was excellent we just noticed the kitchen wasn’t supplied like others that we’ve stayed at in Colorado. One of the box fans didn’t work. As far as location, privacy, view of the mountains and close to Buena Vista and San Isabel Mountains it was fantastic.
What a fantastic property! Highly recommend for anyone looking to get out of the city for a country feel but a short drive from nearby Buena Vista. The cabin was clean and with all the necessary amenities, comfortable beds, etc. The views from the property are outstanding, especially of the southern Collegiate Peaks. We stayed with our 3 kids and dog who loved the space to roam! Lake and creek access a definite bonus. Great vacation here and would visit again!
Cabin is very conveniently located. Great river, pond and fire pit on property. Firewood everywhere & cozy cabin. Spacious and cute loft area. Plenty of towels, shampoo, conditioner, kitchen cleaning supplies, laundry detergent & blankets provided. Owners are super nice and accommodating. I’m glad we could support their business. And we wish them well. Definitely could use upgrades as far as newer furniture, desperately needs a dining table for a family on main floor, needs larger sofa on main floor or in the loft, needs more than 1 TV in the whole house, some newer cookware, better water pressure & an ice maker or at least ice trays. Overall. I’d recommend this cabin. We had a great time. But some upgrades are needed.Thank you

Property was very clean, we appreciated nice beds, kitchen utensils, excellent grill and variety of games. The little boat was wonderful at the pond. Really wish the pond was a bit cleaner but I don’t know if owners can do anything about it. The property is very nice and organized. It’s much better in person than in pictures. We can’t wait to be back!
You aren't just getting a house - you are getting a property! The house is good - perfectly clean and the kitchen had everything we needed. Fire pit right off the front porch for easy marshmallow roasting. Another fire pit down the lane alongside Chalk Creek, with lots of places to drop in a fishing line. In the other direction is the pond with a dock and paddle boat. The views from the upstairs of Mt. Princeton are amazing!
This “cozy cabin” was perfect for our family of four + grandparents. The cabin was beautiful and very clean, and the property was fabulous for exploring with plenty of privacy. The hot springs are a must to visit and just minutes away! We had plenty of room for us and our two kids upstairs and the grandparents in the bedroom downstairs. We had everything we needed to cook meals and plenty of towels in the two bathrooms to accommodate all of us. We are already planning a return visit!

Not the Right Fit for Us
Property did not meet our expectations. We regret booking it. Hosts were slow to respond, not sympathetic to our concerns, and cut off communications when we requested a resolution. Plusses:•Has a peaceful spot along the creek•Mountain views•Well-stocked kitchen•Comfortable mattress•Quality bath towelsDrawbacks:• Dock in disrepair with broken floats making it unstable, and unusable without risk to safety or possible damage. Key feature for us. Would not have booked had we known.• Large commercial-sized garage with signage located directly behind cabin, which balcony overlooks. • Cabin lot overgrown, not as depicted in listing• Some amenities not guest-ready (paddleboat needs cleaning; outdoor grill hadn't been cleaned; no kayak/canoe found.)• Main living area is on second floor. Unusable first night due to summer heat. Very uncomfortable second night despite following cabin instructions to address this issue, so didn’t use.• Limited eating space inside; no dining table
