Two-night visit, simple but disappointing

Posted 27-Nov-2015
Pros: Hotel staff pleasant, room clean, Wi-Fi good (when it's operational)
Cons: Better toiletries provided, less restrictions on breakfast, better pillows,
Staff is very nice and polite, though you will have to check in through a window if you arrive at night. There appears to only be one clerk on duty at night, so if they are out helping someone else, you'll be waiting. Wi-Fi did not work at all for the first night, and the night clerk could do nothing. As we headed out the next day, we asked the front clerk to reset the router and check the internet, and the Wi-Fi worked great by the time we returned... so, Wi-Fi is great when it works, but if it's down for you when you arrive, you're out of luck that night. Hotel provided shampoo but no conditioner, and the bar of body soap provided was abysmally useless. Not enough towels provided in the room, but the staff very kindly provided more upon request. Pillows on bed are flat and useless, so bring your own. Room was very clean and well-kept, no complaints. Hotel has never been reported to the Bed Bug Registry website, so that's important! Serves a basic continental breakfast and includes use of a waffle iron with batter, but service ends at 9am or 930am AND YOU MUST EAT IT IN THE LOBBY!? No taking it to the room with you!

Old hotel and cleanless. Below average breakfast. Few towels and soap, no hairdryer, no coffee maker, no iron, small room, brocken bathtub.

Terrible and rude!!!

Posted 25-Oct-2015 on Hotels
Old outdated not very clean. The service was terrible I had to get up very early before breakfast was served to get to work and I wanted to get some coffee at checkout and it was already brewed but the manager said he wouldn't let me get any coffee even though breakfast opened in 15 minutes. Seriously????? He was the most rude man I have ever met will never stay here again and would never recommend it for anyone.

Needed a cheap place for 4 nights. MStar was simple, not luxurious by any stretch, but worth the money. I noticed some mold spots in the room, and the sound of airplanes overhead was a little distracting in the night, but the place was clean enough, and the service was excellent. This place is worth the money if you just need a simple place and don't mind driving 15 minutes to get into town.

Run down

We had to check in at a bullet proof window as the lobby was closed when we arrived about 9pm. We were there 2 nights but they didn't feel it necessary that we have toilet paper that second night. The pillows were completely flat and there were no blankets- just a sheet and bedspread.
