Our overall stay was amazing. Property was very clean and walking distance to everything downtown. My only suggestion would be a new mattress. It was quite uncomfortable, other than that, our stay was AMAZING and the cottage was fabulous!!!
The property was very convenient for everything I had planned. I could walk or drive to downtown Franklin for shopping or having dinner.
I loved the vintage interior of the property. Will stay there again sometime.
We really enjoyed Nanci's quaint cottage. It was a real perk being able to walk to downtown. The decor was very pleasing and comfortable. Perfect for two! Parking is tight as mentioned by other guests so we took our smallest vehicle and had no issues.
Perfect location, great to have kitchen, washer/dryer, parking spot, sitting area. Is in a former garage behind a house, very quiet and private. Go slowly driving in, steep at the beginning. Would suggest brighter lighting in the bathroom and curtains that cover the windows better for sleeping in. Would definitely stay here again.
Our stay was for an event in Franklin, the lighting of the Christmas better and Matthew West Come Home for Christmas event. The location was perfect, walking distance to most of the event with a lovely neighborhood. It is so refreshing to be in a safe, kind and comfortable considerate community
Nice sized cottage. Had everything we needed. Felt the mattress was in need of being replaced. Wi-Fi was sketchy, but maybe because there were some storms while we were there. Overall it was a very nice place. Super convenient to walk the downtown area.
Loved the cottage! The location is great - walking distance to so many things! As mentioned, parking is definitely tight. Seems like it would be an easy fix to remove the foliage and widen it a bit. Didn’t realize their was a main house rental, too. Our neighbors were very nice! Would definitely stay here again!

Close but...
The property is located within easy walking distance of all the downtown Franklin amenities, it was clean and comfortable and reasonably priced. However the WiFi signal was very weak, my phone was not able to establish a connection during my stay and web pages loaded very slowly on the tablet. Further, a box of tissues would have been nice.
Nice location. Great response communications for owner.
Parking is narrow, don't drive a large vehicle. Decor was fun. Dust and cobwebs eye level and above need attention. We would stay again.
Bluebird Cottage is immaculate, warm, inviting, super comfy, a very short walk to everything, nestled in a gorgeous neighborhood, and has everything you need for your Franklin stay. Do not hesitate to book! Oh, and your hostess is super quick to reply to any questions. And yes, Franklin is as cute, fun, yummy, and delightful as you've been told. ;)
The place was decorated impeccably and you can't beat the location. There were a few minor things but they probably wouldn't prevent me from staying again. Owner should do away with the Alexa things because they are a bit of a pain and add very little. Bathroom door should probably get replaced because it squeaks, so your partner wakes up, and there are large gaps that make it less private than I think most people would prefer. 3 coffee pods was not enough for 2 adults 2 days, there was no creamer, and only a couple sugars. Mostly artificial sweetener was provided. I would bring my own sugar in the raw next time. Overall it was a really cute and enjoyable place.

The location of the property is very quaint. In a very quiet street behind a beautiful, historic house. The bed was very comfortable. However, upon arrival, the unit was not ready. There were dirty linens on the stripped bed and dishes in the sink. Which made things inconvenient. The owner was very responsive and came over and fixed these things. With such a short turnover period I wondered how much refreshing could actually be done. Thwre were no dish towels and creamers not available for the complimentary coffee. Also, in the shower, bothered the conditioner and shampoos were very low and needed refilling. Perhaps the strangest thing was that someone, I am assuming the owner, because it was sent to my attention, had groceries delivered that I had to put away in the place.because there were diapers, wipes, ground turkey and other miscellaneous items, I knew they were not for me. Maybe if more attention was made to specific details this spot would be more desirable. In retrospect, I should have requested some sort of reimbursement, especially when being inconvenienced on arrival so late in the evening.
The cottage is adorable and in the perfect location to walk to everything in downtown Franklin, which is why we booked. When we arrived, the A/C was not on and it was 98 degrees outside. We tried effortlessly to cool the room, the AC would turn on but barely blow out air. We contacted the owner who said it would cool down eventually. So we went to dinner and when we came back 2 hours later it was still WAY too warm to sleep in the room - no change in temp. We took cold showers to cool off and had to find a hotel. So we paid for the 2 nights at the cottage, where we could not stay. We have requested a partial refund since we did use the shower and washer/dryer but have received nothing. Sad that we had to move to a hotel where we could not walk to downtown so we also had Uber costs on top of paying for 2 places to stay. VRBO did nothing to assist in our efforts either. We are so disappointed and waited over a month before posting a review. Owner did have a repair person check the unit and said everything was fine but it was not fine while we were on site. Hopefully the issue will be resolved and future renters can enjoy.

Frankly Stressed
Upon arrival, we felt the property had not fully lived up to the marketing promises. Despite the charming historic character of the converted carriage house, some significant functional issues detracted from the overall guest experience.
The charming cottage is an old, converted carriage house repurposed as a vacation rental. As is often the case with these historic properties, the blend of new and old creates a unique ambiance. Compromises must be made to get it right.
Newer elements, like the wood-look vinyl flooring, have been installed over uneven older surfaces. The doors don't quite fit properly, and the mix of repurposed furnishings was meant to evoke a vintage aesthetic and add to the property's historic character.
The cottage's location tucked down an alley behind another rental unit, made it challenging to find initially. We tried to communicate in advance with the owner but were unsuccessful. However, once located, guests will appreciate the convenient proximity to the town's central commercial district and its shops and restaurants.
Inside the cottage, we encountered difficulties controlling essential systems like lighting, air temperature, and shower water. This appeared to be due to the installation of modern fixtures and utilities that compromised their usability, likely in an attempt to maintain the vintage aesthetic.
Overall, while this historic carriage house conversion offers guests a unique vacation experience, it is clear that some critical mainte
We loved The Bluebird Cottage. Walked everywhere. Loved the historic neighborhood and downtown. Great restaurants and live music. Host was thoughtful and easy to contact.

The location to this place was great. It was a five minute walk to town, the Lotz House and Carter House. The decor was very cute the bed was comfortable. Having said that, for a short woman who does her hair and wears makeup, the mirror in the bathroom didn’t work at all. I had to use a chair and put it on the window sill to make it work. We ran out of body wash and the bleach pods to wash the towels and we had to use our phones hotspots for the Internet.
Unbelievably comfortable, convenient, cute place to spend a few days to explore Franklin and beyond. We look forward to staying again and will recommend to friends.
