But not the JW Marriott Nara! From the minute we checked in the service and hospitality was tremendous. Even the smell of the hotel was unique and comforting. One of my travel partners bought some of their air “therapy” to take home. Our room was luxurious without being over the top. Amenities like sauna, jacuzzi and pool felt like we were in a high end resort somewhere. The breakfast was fresh with a lot of variety. And lets say the foam “baby deer” on our coffee had my wife wanting to take the barista home. The bar was well stocked and wine choice excellent. A little pricey, but expected. I would highly recommend you stay here when in Nara. One of the few high-end hotels there, competing against Nara Hotel. The room was spacious enough for property in Japan and spa was nice. The front restaurant was filled in the morning for breakfast, and we ate breakfast in the bar area next to the restaurant. This is my favorite hotel I have stayed at this year. The hotel staff are very friendly and kind. If we arrive early, they will give me a room in advance. It is also good to use the swimming pool.
