The property is exquisite. The staff was absolutely lovely - some of the best service we’ve experienced on our travels. The onsen was so relaxing. Nara Park is a short walk away. The whole property was once a historical villa, the garden of which is still part of the hotel. The food is excellent. The restaurant is in a separate building down the hill from the hotel. It's a few minutes pleasant walk through a small bamboo forest. If lacking mobility, the staff will drive you in the van. Nara Park is bordering the property, and you can walk to many of Nara's famous sites in 10 or 15 minutes if you're inclined to. The rooms are spacious and well designed (the hotel is only a few years old). Rooms have a large private onsen bath on the balcony. The air-con is a bit too cold and can’t adjust the wind direction. If the onsen can provide shuttle or traffic’s services will be perfect.
