Arrived earlier than check in time but the hostel had send an email with the door code so we were able to leave our luggage and head out to see the sights. Rooms are a little tight and there are no curtains on the bunks but the beds are comfortable enough and the hostel was very clean. That said this hostel was just not for me. SUPER small common area, only one restroom per gender and one shower for everyone. The kitchen, patio and common area was cluttered. This place would be ok if it was one of my hippy friends places and they were letting me crash for the night. It is also very inexpensive. It was pretty clean. It is quite a small place. Also, there is very little security- no locks on any of the inner doors and the manager's presence is unpredictable. The outer door has a lock but it was always open whenever I came in or left. There are small lockers to store valuables. The manager was helpful in giving useful information about the area. You can use the washer/dryer for 300 yen.
