"The location is good but the suica room had a lingering odor that was very off-putting - the 4 airfilter machines in the room did not disguise it . The heating and cooling was difficult to maintain and the skylight in the middle of the ceiling made sleeping in impossible. The breakfast is mediocre at best. The clothes dryers are underpowered so it takes much longer to dry even a small amount of clothes than is normal. The best thing was the view of Fuji-San from the rooftop."

"Great stay at Toyoko Inn - there were shuttle bus from Kawaguchiko station to the hotel which was really convenient. Check in was smooth and the room was great too. Was able to see mt Fuji from my room too. Daily breakfast was delicious too - guests had 2 options (either Japanese or Western breakfast) to choose from. There were also some restaurants and convenient shops nearby. Overall would recommend a stay here!"

"Breath taking view from the room. Staff were so attentive and very nice. Public hot tubs were great and relaxing. Room was clean and spacious. Finally the view from hotel was better than many attraction spots around fuji"

"This is a great escape from the city and offers many options for enjoying the area or if you have younger children, many play facilities are available. Staff is great as always at any Hoshino facility."

"The view to the Mount Fuji from my room (331) was amazing! However, apart from that and helpful staff the hotel is quite run down. Breakfast was very poor, especially options for westerners."

"Wonderful experience overall. Onsen was lovely especially having the open air bath in the room...all baths give a different vibe but all relaxing. Really enjoyed the Kaiseki but would've been great if they did allow you to report food allergies in advance so they could adjust menu. With my shellfish Allergy one meal set was very limiting. So next time probably wouldn't add that to the experience. Staff were friendly. The view from the room of the lake was amazing ..view of Mount Fuji from the observation deck was awesome. Overall a very relaxing stay...would definitely come again and very happy we stopped here on our trip to Japan."
