"We loved our stay at the Rock House. The home was clean, comfortable, and in a good location. John (property owner) & his daughter Amy were very accommodating. We got the chance to visit with John a couple of times. He showed us how to get to the river both on the property, and from a public road near by. He also provided us with plenty of firewood. Unfortunately, they received a lot of rain right before we arrived and the weather was still very cool, so we did not get to enjoy the river as much as we would have liked but it was beautiful. There were also lots of ticks! I think this had to do with the time of year because we've been to this area a couple of times before in August and never had that problem and we picked them up in several locations on this trip, not just at Rock House. I only bring it up to advise others to bring tick spray! Highly recommend Rock House. We hope to get to stay here again on our next trip to the area."

"First of all, it’s not a Holiday Inn Express - It’s now a Country Inn. The decor is dated. As I entered my room, I was immediately met with an extremely funky smell. When I sat on my bed and looked up, there was mold on the ceiling! Completely unacceptable situation."
