"My main issue was reception. I arrived just after 4pm. The property was locked up and there was no one in attendance. I found a contact number on the booking form and got a recorded message. I did get a call back about 10 minutes later and I was given instructions about how to find the entry key so I could let myself in. There were only a few guests so reception was apparently unmaned from 2pm. The staff said that the booking agency had not given them my mobile No so they could not contact me. I dont know why the booking agency did not giove them my contact No. The hotel room was nice and spacious and the surroundings are very nice (grounds of the old mental hospital. No complaints otherwise."

"Spacious room with all that my wife and I needed for a long weekend, including kettle, fridge and toaster so we could prepare our own breakfasts. A microwave available in a common area was useful to reheat a ready-cooked meal we brought from home for our first night. There is also washing machine, but we didn't use it so can't comment. Location is excellent - right in the centre of Bright, yet a very quiet street, and walking distance to all the main streets, cafes, restaurants, parks etc. For the balcony we had an attractive view over a croquet lawn and trees."

"The property was a short, 15 minutes walk into the main street area. The room was large and comfortable. The availble channels on the TV were poor (not their fault). The only criticism would be the water pressure in the bath and shower were low and the bath towels were small. Overall a very nice stay"

"Excellent motel, extremely quiet even though on a main road, very close to a good restaurant (although it is not open on Monday and Tuesday night) and the centre of town is only 5 minutes drive with good restaurants and cafes. Ovens River Parkrun is excellent and starts in the park across the road."

"Liked bike storage. Budget cabin needed a lot of maintenance. Screen door missing, West window screen torn and tree leaves fallen inside, bathroom sliding door off track, TV Aerial lead connection intermittently caused very poor tv reception. For a budget cabin this was all tolerable but not great!"
