"The Great Aspen Chateau was a great place for a large family gathering. We had 12 adults, a teenager, a 3year old and an infant with plenty of beds and comfortable space for everyone. We drove from 3 states with 5 cars, and it was no problem parking them. Entry to the property was easy and Kelly’s directions to the house were great. Kelly was great to work with and readily available for questions. The roads to the property were paved and easier to drive on than other mountain rentals we have experienced. The lane to the house was a steady incline and steep at the end but very manageable. We did not hear or see any neighbors. It was peaceful and quiet with a gorgeous view. The house itself was well stocked with linens, towels, kitchen utensils, glasses, etc. One of the better stocked houses we have rented. There was not a working ice machine that we found so bags of ice worked. We especially liked the large dining area with two large tables where all of us could sit together. We had a wonderful week at the chateau and would definitely return another year. "

"We had a wonderful time, the property is lovely! We had a small maintenance issue with the hot tub and they were very attentive and helped out right away when we called. All in all it was a very delightful stay. We would definitely stay at this property again. "
"My partner and I had a wonderful time staying at the Fox Den to celebrate our anniversary. The location is conveniently 20 minutes from the nearest town, but just far enough away that it feels very remote. As of July 2025, many of the main parks in the area are still recovering from Hurricane Helene damage, but that didn't stop us from finding open places to explore, as the Fox Den is nestled in the Blue Ridge Mountains. The home is already equipped with basic necessities such as paper towels, trash bags, and toilet paper, so you do not need to go out of your way to buy those things at the store before your visit. Towels and linens are also provided, which saved some room for us when packing! Overall, great visit and Ron was extremely accommodating and available throughout our stay. If you're ever in the area, the Fox Den is a great place to stay."
"Stunning view from this cabin in the clouds. The hosts were extremely responsive to all of our questions and very welcoming. The decor is beautiful. I do need to share that the seating is not comfortable, especially on the deck, for folks like us in our sixties. Maybe bring yourself some cushions."
