Enjoy the spectacular views from the large balcony and panoramic windows. After a day of skiing, relax in its private sauna or snuggle on the comfortable sofas with carpets, thick rugs and cozy throws. Get a great night’s sleep in the comfortable beds with sprung mattresses and super fine Egyptian cotton bedding. With a private ski locker and boot dryers, you can say goodbye to carrying equipment and wet fingers and toes. A variety of shops, restaurants, bakery, ski rental, supermarket and ski school are all within 100 metres. All of our chalets in La Falaise, Avoriaz, are a stone's throw from each other and are great options for booking with friends! The layout Arranged over 3 floors with 4 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms and 2 toilets, the chalet is particularly suitable for 2 families as each floor has its own double room bunk room and bathroom and there is a 2nd living room perfect for a kids chill-out area complete with its own SMART TV. Private ground floor entrance leading into hall with boot dryers and ski storage. Hall leads to double bedroom, bunk bedroom, sauna, 2 bathrooms with separate toilet on the ground floor; Stairs lead to the upper floor with a further double bedroom, bunk bedroom, shower room with toilet and the comfortable open plan living area with additional double sofa bed, dining area kitchen and balcony. The private sauna is located on the ground floor. Stairs lead down to the 2nd living room. Wellness Chalet Neva has its own traditional Finnish sauna - what better way to relax your legs after a day on the slopes than in your own private sauna. Kitchen, main living and dining room The modern fitted kitchen has fully integrated BOSCH appliances, including a large oven, induction hob, microwave, large fridge-freezer, dishwasher, electric kettle, toaster, raclette machine and Nespresso machine. There is enough crockery, cutlery and glasses for 10 people and a wide range of cooking aids and kitchen utensils. A selection of tea, sugar, coffee, salt, pepper, herbs, foil, dishwasher tablets, cleaning materials and toilet paper are provided. The chalet is decorated in a cozy modern Alpine style with thick carpets, rugs, cushions and throws to snuggle up in your real home form home while enjoying the stunning mountain views from the panoramic windows and balcony. Basement Living Room On the lower ground floor is a 2nd living room complete with sofas and a 2nd SMART TV - perfect for kids to chill out with a movie after a busy day on the slopes. Wifi and TV Private high-speed fibre-optic Wi-Fi. 2 SMART 65" & 55" TVs with international cable channels and streaming services so you can a cozy night in catching up with your favourite box set. Bedrooms Main floor has 1 double bedroom and 1 bunk bedroom. Top floor has 1 double bedroom and adjoining bunk bedroom (please note the top bunk on this floor has reduced head height due to a sloping ceiling). The beds are all real beds with thick, comfortable pocket-sprung mattresses, Hungarian goose-down duvets and pillows and super-fine Egyptian cotton bedding. Extra-large sofa bed in the living room opens quickly and is fully pre-made. The curtains are super thick with blackout lining so you won't be woken by the morning sun. Bathrooms With 3 ½ bathrooms, there will be no rush in the morning. 1 full bath, 3 showers, 2 toilets. Complimentary toiletries are provided in all the bathrooms as our fluffy towels. Location is perfection - so easy to ski in/out, glorious bakery nearby and the supermarket across the way. Boot warmers were handy and it's a nice, spacious entry which helps when you're trying to untangle kids from boots, etc! In-house team, Sophie & Luca were really lovely, nothing was too much trouble - we had a few issues while there and they sorted things - excellent communication! Chalet is warm, and cosy, and what a view of the village - honestly, the location is to die for! The chalet comfortably sleeps 8 - anymore would be a real squeeze, (we were a party of 8 plus a baby) - and although the little cosy den for the kids was brilliant, it is a bit of a squeeze with everyone in the kitchen. We would definitely stay again though - it really was brilliant - thank you to Nikki and team! Baby-kit - already raised, but a highchair needs to be provided for the babies. The main living room faces the village centre giving a lovely evening atmosphere with all the lights of the centre. The balcony gets the sun most of the day but it drops below the next door building later on. The two double bedrooms are a good size for a compact chalet and the two bunk rooms are fine. All dealing with Avoriaz Chalets were excellent. Although it could sleep 10 people with two sleeping in the living room the main living/kitchen/dinner would be quite uncomfortable for seating and dinning. Eight people would probably be quite comfortable. Before we arrived Nikki send us a really helpful guide on the everything we needed to know. She also sorted out the transfers, ski hire and ski passes at a very good price. The location of the chalet is fantastic. Easy to walk to from the drop off point, And restaurants, ski hire, bakery and super market all within a few minutes walk. Its a proper ski in / ski out chalet - the slopes are literally on the doorstop and its about 5 mins ski down to the main lifts. The chalet itself is very comfortable. Main room / kitchen is a good size and has everything you need. The two double rooms have comfortable beds. It is worth knowing that one set of bunk beds are in a corridor. There is no privacy for these beds and the top one is also quite close to the ceiling so they would be best for young children as opposed to teenagers or adults. We had a great time and would thoroughly recommend both the chalet and the company Perhaps be a bit clearer about the bunk beds in the corridor and how close to the ceiling the top bunk is. Getting from and to the external parking is super-easy, no need for the ground transport. The location is inside an area called Falaise - French for the cliff. There are supermarket, a great boulangerie and a ski rental store right next door, as well as a couple of restaurants and a laundromat. The ESF ski school is within a 5 minutes walk, and the main promenade is just after that, so very close, yet apart. Great ski-out - in 2 different directions - and reasonable ski-in (you have maybe 50m of flat to overcome). The views are spectacular. The property is recently renovated, with sauna, bathtub, shower and 2 toilets, fully equipped kitchen and anteroom with boots dryer etc. All in all, a great chalet. There isn't a lot of space. In fact, the property listed as good for 10 people, but that would be cramming it. We were 7, and I think this is the ideal size of a party for this chalet. Some corners were cut in interest of space efficiency. For example, a washing machine is listed, but it's virtually unusable, being blocked by a sofa bed. Placing everyone around the dinner table was a bit of a challenge. Warm your ski boots on the convenient boot warmer, step out the front door and there is the piste, which leads down to the ski lifts going in all directions. Not only is the chalet convenient for the slopes, but an excellent bakery is barely a minute's walk away, there are cafés and shops two minutes away and even the main arrival area is only about 5 minutes walk, if that. Five minutes or so in the opposite direction will find you in the centre of Avoriaz - cafés, shops, post office, tourist info, church, tropical swimming centre . . . The kitchen has everything you need for self-catering, the sofas are comfortable, the two bath/shower rooms are both beautifully fitted (including heated towel rails) and the goose down duvets make the beds really comfortable. Although the bedrooms are compact, the built-in storage cupboards are neat and capacious. The chalet is part of a small apartment block, but you feel very independent. The bedrooms are at entry level, yet, because of the slope, this is actually the second floor and the living area is above. This means that there are fantastic views from the living room and balcony. Nikki and Philip are charming and helpful hosts. We would most certainly recommend this chalet to anyone and are hopeful to make a return visit ourselves! Accomodation is very comfortable, view from living room is stunning and always takes my breath away. Situated ideally for the slopes and the town. Owners and staff are very friendly and helpful. This was our 3rd year in Avoriaz but our first time in a self-catered chalet ... and we'll be back! Fantastic resort with almost too many runs to choose from. Slopes for all standards. Chalet was recently renovated and a very plesant place to be. Fixtures and fittings were just right and sofa bed was awesome.
