Beautiful hotel in a great location

Lovely stay at Tides. Location and staff were great. Room was nice and very clean but bathroom a little tired. Fantastic view and location on beach in Folly. Staff on front desk (Eli) and manager (David) handled concerns excellently. Concierge staff Jim and Carlton welcoming and helpful everyday. Would stay again.

Lovely stay. Clean and comfortable with the most amazing friendly and accommodating staff.

If you are on a hen weekend this is the perfect stay for you. Not for a couple who like the peace and quiet though. Property was ok but next to some loud bars although to be fair things seemed to close quite early. Beach was quite densely populated and this was out of season so suspect it is rammed any other time. Hotel was fine, breakfast was mediocre. service ok although had to yell at housekeeping to stop them coming in our room before we checked out! Won’t be coming back.

Lovely hotel with pool, bar & restaurant. Standard rooms with two queens are comfy & suitable, but not massive, so don’t expect extra space. Decor is clean and pleasant & well maintained but I wouldn’t say it’s very modern. The pool area with sun beds is lovely. The hotel have plenty of beach towels which you can also borrow for your day at the beach. Reviews are correct, this place is exceptionally clean and in a very good location and easy to drive into Charleston for a visit. The rooms are super clean and the bed was comfortable. The shower could do with some pressure but it's a great hotel and I highly recommend. Parking was plenty and very secure. Mount Pleasant seems to be a very safe area.

Traditional look in great location for views bars and restaurants. Very lively area with a holiday feel. We booked a twin room with balcony overlooking the creek ( river ) which was well worth it. Grab and go breakfast was plentiful and enough for most people. Only negative was that we were warned that the outside was being painted which we were ok with and made the hotel very smart but there was a mess left on our balcony which reception seemed unable to deal with. This should have a higher score than 4 It is a bit dated - but having said that everything is spotlessly clean and functional Our room was fantastic with a settee to relax Big shower area The bed was very very good... This was our third stay at The Ansonborough, and this time we were celebrating a special anniversary. The hotel made our trip extra memorable with a bottle of Prosecco and some lovely local treats waiting for us in the room. We absolutely love the spacious rooms, with plenty of drawer and wardrobe space to properly unpack and settle in. The small kitchenette areas and separate living spaces are a wonderful added bonus, giving you somewhere comfortable to relax after a day exploring Charleston....

My room was very quiet at night with no road noise. It was clean, but a bit old re. paintwork etc. The fridge had no control button and so the items froze a couple of times! Breakfast was good, with nice eggs, but it was a shame it finished at 9.00am on weekdays - sometimes people like to lie-in on their holiday!
