"Food was cold but staff microwaved accordingly - 30 min walk to Amble but not a nice town and the hotel is sited on the outskirts in industrial park"

"Great place to stop over and explore the Northumberland National Park. Very pet friendly accomodation and bar. All staff were very helpful and welcoming. We really enjoyed the evening meal.The menu is vast and caters for all dietary needs. Large portions and very tasty -compliments to the chef. The inn has a really comfy cosy atmosphere and we had an amazing view from our room. The breakfast was very generous with great service too. Highly recommend."

"The room was superb, tastefully renovated and with everything you could want, including s mini fridge with fresh milk and a coffee machine. Unfortunately it is also on a very busy road so was very noisy. Rooms at the back may be better."

"Good stay. Staff very helpful as key didn't unlock door. They sorted it out quickly. Bar was very friendly. Having parking was a plus. Room were spacious. Breakfast was very good. Great stay"
Arkle House - a cosy home-from-home in Amble-by-the-Sea

"We had a lovely stay here. The house was so well catered for, had really comfy beds, a great garden with seating to enjoy the hot weather and was in walking distance of Amble so no need to worry about finding a parking space!We visited Druridge bay country park which had a great playground, lovely walks and beach and a very reasonably priced cafe. Amble was beautiful to walk around and Alnwick castle was good to explore. We went to Morpeth on the bus, X18, just around the corner and visited Carlisle park which has a great paddling pool for little ones on a hot day. Barbara was very helpful and great with communication. We would definitely look at returning in the future and recommending it too."
