  • Treat yourself to a Desert Retreat. This 1 bedroom, 1 bathroom home invites you to hear, see, and feel everything Southern California's high desert offers. Mountain views, Saguaro Cacti, citrus trees, and so much more can all be taken in from the comfort of a lounge chair in this sprawling 5 acres. Private, yet conveniently near Joshua Tree National Park, Morongo Casino, Pioneer Town, shops, and restaurants, you can escape the noise of everyday life without sacrificing any of its comforts.
    The space
    Sitting on 5 acres, on a hill overlooking Morongo Valley, with the San Bernardino Mountains serving as a backdrop, a private road will bring you home for your stay. You'll be minutes from Joshua Tree National Park, Palm Springs, Yucca Valley, local hot spots, and stores.

    As you settle in, you'll be provided robes, slippers, toiletries, coffee/tea, and high-speed Wi-Fi. The kitchen is fully equipped with stainless steel appliances fit for a chef, and a dining nook that seats four. A queen bed, yoga mats, vanity, and a touch of decor wait for you in the bedroom. You'll find a vinyl record player, acoustic guitar, classic games, a 65" TV, and a fold-out sofa in the living room. A corner workspace has two stations available.

    The outdoors offers plenty to do as well. Enjoy a cup of coffee as you watch the sunrise in a swinging egg chair. Stroll through the garden and surrounding wilderness of desert flora. Let the valley wind rock you in a hammock. Gaze at the mountains as your inner kid rides the swings. Huddle around the fire pit while kicking back in Adirondack's. Recline on lounge chairs, soaking in the colorful sunset. And when it gets dark, and the sky is filled with stars, bring the telescope out for a new perspective.
    Guest access
    Make the turn off of Highway 62 (29 Palms Highway) onto a dirt road and drive for about 1 minute. Usually smooth, rains can make it a bit bumpy. The inside is ideal for 2 guests, however, we can easily accommodate 4. The couch in the living room converts to a queen-sized bed.

We had a wonderful stay in Morongo Valley! The property was well equipped with amenities and supplies. Furthermore, the property was clean and located a quick drive from Joshua Tree park, Yucca Valley, and Pioneer Town. We would certainly stay again!

Joshua Tree Stay

It has a nice vibe, incredible views, and the perfect accommodations. Everything from the bathrobe and slippers for when you get out of the shower to the outdoor seating was perfect. Also, the views are unmatched, and the location is so easy and central to explore Morongo Valley and Joshua Tree. I would stay here again and recommend it to others.

My wife and I are on a 2-week roadtrip, and this was our 3rd stay. It was a nice place to be close to the cute town/shops in Yucca Valley, and is relatively close to Joshua Tree. It has cute amenity's- we appreciated the options of seating between the swings, hammock and fire pit chairs. It had a nice modern feel to it. The only downside we had was the inability to cool down the bedroom at night. A minor inconvenience for an overall great stay!
