"The most important thing to note is the limited hours of the front desk (10am to 6pm in the summer). This is an issue if you might arrive late or want to leave your bags in the morning after checking out. The hotel is absolutely serious about wanting you to contact them before you arrive to confirm your arrival time although the email they sent to me had no return email address. " I stayed at Hotel Edelweiss from July 23 to 26 and had a very peaceful and pleasant experience.Everything was clean, functional, and thoughtfully managed. The room was quiet and comfortable, perfect for unwinding after a full day in the mountains. The team was kind and welcoming, which really added a warm touch to the stay. There’s a common area where guests can enjoy free coffee, tea, and water — a nice gesture even though these aren’t available in-room. The location is good, with lovely views and a calm atmosphere, though do keep in mind there’s a short but steep uphill walk (around 7 minutes) from the train station. Breakfast was modest but enough to start the day. Overall, a great choice if you’re looking for a clean, quiet, and budget-friendly base in Wengen. I appreciated the hospitality and would gladly return."
