It sits near (and behind) the Polygone. The best approach is to leave from the upper floor of the train station through the doors to the north and take the metal footbridge directly onto the street where the tram runs. Cross the street and tram tracks and then follow that sidewalk down the incline bending to the left and then rising slightly back up. The tram tracks will be running along your right as you walk. There is a set of stone stairs that goes up toward a small wooded area in front of the property, but the Mercure sign will be visible at the top of the hotel. Take the stairs up and go around the wooded area (left is probably best) to the front of the hotel. Total walking time is less than 15 minutes. It is very conveniently located next to the train station, and both bus and tram stops are right at the doorstep. As a flat, it was unconventionally spacious. Plenty of storage space. Large bathroom with a bathtub, and kitchen with ammenities to do our own cooking. There was a senior lady on the Reception when we arrived. She was not friendly at all, and made us feel unwelcome. However, the other 2 people (2 younger males) who were there for the remainder of our stay were super kind and helpful. Very conveniently located hotel for shopping and for walks to the main tourist spots. We'd always go back if travelling in or around Montpellier."
