Absolutely stunning place to stay. The reception, garden and restaurant staff all friendly and helpful. The apartment was large and airy. The pool and gardens lovely. Wish we could have stayed longer.

Very poor. Substantially misrepresented

We had expected our stay in the Tuscan Hills to be the highlight of a month trip to Italy and instead it was by far and away the worst accommodation we used in the entire trip. We had 5 HomeAway apartments during the month and all rated 5 stars except this one. The castle is very run down which could have been charming but it wasn’t. We had an apartment within the castle which was poorly equipped. There were no cooking utensils and thoroughly inadequate or completely inappropriate cooking pots and pans. There was no washing up materials. It was very difficult to self cater. We approached the manager on day one with our concerns and we were provided with timber serving spoons as cooking implements. Of the 5 properties from HomeAway we leased over the past month this was the only one to charge an exit cleaning fee. We were aware of this charge in advance but this was the only property of the 5 that was not perfectly clean when we arrived. If we had not paid the cost up front we would have left. This property is extremely poor value and not recommended.
