There are a few things we missed: to bring our own toilet paper is a bit poor, basic household items like dish soap etc, some basic cooking items salt/pepper, sugar, water etc. And a 24/7 caretaker in the castel would be recommended. One night we were the only guests, the weather was thunderstorms and lightning all night, and the power went out. So is was dark. The emergency lights went on but was exhausted after about 30 minutes. It felt very uncomfortable. Further we understand the reason why the restaurant was closed and less guests stayed at the castle, but we missed this very much! ##### Dunja K. We stayed in the Bastione apartment, which is large and has a lovely private garden sitting area. The castle itself is simply marvellous, full of history, very functional and the staff (including Giuseppe who makes sure everything is in working order) are very kind and helpful.
