nice hotel, bad service
We were lucky to find a reservation on a busy Holiday weekend so I will preface this with the acknowledgement that the hotel was busy. However the issue we had was on Monday, when the customer agent herself said "most" guests were leaving.
We returned to our room mid-day Monday to find that it had already been cleaned-yay! However the comforter that was placed on our bed-which was stark white before-was now visibly dirty and had a strange blood stain on it. We had two small children with us, no one was bleeding (we definitely know with kids!) much less a cut large enough to smear blood across a white comforter. I called down immediately to housekeeping (i.e. the front desk) the agent said she would let housekeeping know right now. Fast forward to two hours later, still no housekeeping. We left and returned, another two hours later. Still no new comforter. That's four hours! I went and spoke to someone at the desk this time, still nothing from housekeeping. Now it's getting close to bedtime for the kids and we need someone to take care of this right away. My husband calls down, the agent says housekeeping is "very busy. Will get around to it eventually". Housekeeping never came. We slept in bed with just sheets because I did not want to expose my children to a blanket in our hotel room with someone else's blood. Needless to say, we won't be going back. The agent at the desk also had no recos for lunch, dinner etc or knew the area very well which wasn't very helpful.
