As long as Casago is managing this property, I would not consider renting it. The home itself could be very nice, and I hope the owners ultimately choose a different management company, because our experience with Casago was unacceptable.
We rented the home for a group and arrived to find it badly flooded (water across the floors and dripping down the walls, refrigerator and chairs in the water, no power, etc). We understand that weather happens and don’t fault anyone for the storm. The problem was how Casago handled it. After considerable discussion, we agreed to stay despite the condition of the house, because we were promised a refund for the first night and told there would be a further discussion about additional compensation. George (the manager) also told us he would come by the next morning to assess the damage. We made sure to stick around the house during the morning for this. He never showed up. Since then, Casago has stopped responding to our repeated messages. They directed us to Hotels.com regarding the promised refund, but Hotels.com says it has no record of Casago authorizing or even discussing the refund and has been unable to get a response from them either. Several weeks later, we are still trying to resolve this. The flooding was unfortunate but understandable. Making commitments to guests, failing to follow through, and then becoming unresponsive is not. Based on our experience, I would not stay at this—or any other—property managed by Casago.
