The atmosphere, food, staff, and hospitality are amazing. We loved the onsen available on site, but also managed to visit other onsen in town (you can get an onsen hopping pass from the town visitor center). Overall very tranquil and relaxing. One thing to note is that the pillows can be small and you may need to ask for larger or additional pillows. Verbesserungswürdig war eigentlich nur die Bedienung, da das wunderbare Kaiseki viel zu schnell serviert wurde und wir das Gefühl hatten, dass das Personal früh nach Hause wollte.
