Room was wide and clean with a modern, newly renovated appearance! The mattresses were extremely comfortable. Location was very close to the central station. The staff tried their best to accommodate my needs (earlier check in, luggage storage etc.) Highly recommend this place!

This hotel is perfect for a casual stay in Milan. The rooms are completely renovated, spacious enough for 2 people to feel comfortable. I loved that they even provided and espresso machine as well as electric kettle. Extra points for tall ceilings and a pretty tall window that you can open. The location is prefect for easy commutes. I was very pleasantly surprised. Would definitely recommend.

Great stay at San Gregorio Rooms! The property was exceptionally clean—you could smell the freshness throughout the building and room. The bed was very comfortable, and the bathroom was spotless and modern. Very cozy and modern room…fairly spacious! There is no staff on site, but the host was very responsive, reached out before arrival, and provided clear check-in instructions, making the self-check-in process simple and stress-free. The property felt very secure and safe, and having an elevator was a huge plus. The location was also excellent—about a 10-minute flat walk from Milano Centrale. I was able to easily roll a large suitcase and carry-on without any issues. Would definitely stay here again!😊

Our stay at Art Stone House was wonderful. Silvio was an exceptional host from beginning to end. He checked in with us before our arrival, was always available to answer questions, and his lively personality and genuine warmth made us feel welcome. My husband and I communicated using bits of Italian, Spanish, French, and English—and when all else failed, Google Translate saved the day! It became one of the funniest parts of our trip. After our train from Milan arrived at 23:00, Silvio personally picked us up at the station. Retired after more than 20 years with the Italian railways, he kept us updated throughout our journey, giving us great peace of mind. His warm welcome made arriving in an unfamiliar city at night completely stress-free. On our departure, one sunny afternoon, he kindly drove us back to the station for our train to Milan and flight home to New York. The apartment was charming, comfortable, and full of character. We loved the breeze on the rooftop terrace, excellent Wi-Fi, fully equipped kitchen, and the thoughtful coffee, tea, and snacks. There is a pizza shop one minute away from the apartment, with restaurants and grocery options nearby. The only small thing to note is that the upstairs has low ceilings, so very tall guests may need to duck—or, as we joked, “mind your crown.” We highly recommend Art Stone House. Thank you, Silvio, for your kindness and outstanding hospitality. We would gladly stay here again.

Historic building but rooms have air conditioning. Quiet rooms, relaxing lake side chairs and tables. Lake is cool and great to swim in. Free self serve espresso bar and jacuzzi overlooks the lake. Very warm and personable staff. Restaurants and gelato is 10 min walk along the lake, into less touristy winding town of Bellano.

The room itself was great and I would give that 5/5. But the place is a little difficult to find as it has no sign or street frontage and we eventually found a doorbell and rang that but none answered. We had no phone reception so we emailed the proprietor and she remotely let us in. As I've said the room was great, but there were no instructions e.g. that there is a qr code for the wifi on the back of the door, the shutters slide open and aren't hinged etc. If you follow your nose you will work everything out but a page of handy instructions would have been useful. Finally, we messaged the proprietor for some local advice but didn't get a reply so again we had to work things out ourselves. For the adept independent traveller this is a great option but if you need a little TLC you might want something with a manned reception desk. Knowing what we know now we would stay there again.
