Frequently asked questions

What is the best area to stay in Midang?
The best area to stay in Midang is the area surrounding the Novotel Lombok Resort & Villas, situated on the southern coast near Lombok International Airport.

This area is known for its beautiful beaches and convenient access to the airport, making it a great starting point for your Midang adventure. It's a bit more secluded than other parts of Lombok, offering a peaceful and relaxing experience. The main draw is direct access to the beach, with options for water activities.

Couples looking for a tranquil getaway will find this area particularly appealing. The resorts here often provide excellent amenities like spa services and fine dining, great for a romantic escape. The natural beauty of the coastline offers a beautiful backdrop for relaxation and quiet strolls.

For families, this area provides a wonderful setting for a memorable holiday. Many resorts offer spacious rooms, kid-friendly pools, and organised activities, ensuring entertainment for all ages.
When is the best time to go to Midang?
The best time to visit Midang is during the dry season, which runs from May to September.

During these months, you'll experience sunny days and minimal rainfall, making it ideal for enjoying the beaches and outdoor activities. The sea is usually calm and clear, great for swimming, snorkelling, and diving around the coast. Temperatures are consistently warm, averaging around 28-32°C, which is excellent for those looking for a warm weather escape.

Couples often find this period great for a romantic getaway, as the good weather allows for sunset cruises and beachside dining without the worry of rain. The clear skies also make for stunning photographic opportunities.

For those interested in exploring the natural beauty of the island, such as the waterfalls or hiking trails, the dry season provides the most comfortable conditions. Paths are less muddy, and views are generally unobstructed. This is especially good for active travellers.

While it is the peak tourist season, the good weather and wide range of available activities make it the most rewarding time to experience Midang.
