"In general this is a lovely hotel but there are some improvements that could be made to make it better. The room was spacious, modern and kept clean. An old very small fridge on the floor was useful. However I wasn’t a fan of the electric plugs socket directly behind pillows on the bed. Our room was on the first floor above the restaurant and we had to report disturbing muffled music from very early around 5:30am and late at night till after 11:30m, both at times when the restaurant would be closed. This was sorted. The free disabled parking area did not have a marked out bay and in our opinion parking there would be too close to other parked cars. We were initially told we had to pay to park in another marked bay, until we queried this with a different member of staff who said we didn’t have to a pay. Room and communal area carpets would benefit from deep clean. Breakfast was always luke warm to cold. Even after I let staff know this and they acknowledged that the warmers weren’t working properly. The evening menu is limited and doesn’t change. Waiting to be seated for dinner was slow as staff left us and other guests waiting. It’s pitch black outside at night and we weren’t near anywhere else to eat nearby Room and communal area carpets would benefit from deep clean The hotel is opposite the beach so you have a beautiful view for the beach and sea. I recommend you get a sea view room. The staff are friendly, helpful and welcoming."

"The room was excellent the bathroom a little tired with no separate shower. There was no hot water on one of the mornings. The view from the room/balcony was stunning. The continental breakfast was good although there were no warm croissants. The cooked breakfasts were not very freshly cooked, especially the scrambled eggs and bacon. The Bay Bar staff were very pleasant and the food excellent. Overall we enjoyed our stay at this hotel and would recommend it and would stay there again."

"Car park was hard to find as Google maps trys to take you to front of pub via pedestrian area. This is not the pubs fault, I only mention it to help others. Great value, Comfy bed. Tv that actually works (quite a rarity in Devon and Cornwall) . Would happily return."

"This is a great place to stay, look for deals, prices vary depending on weather you want to have Bar food or go full fine dining, Bar option is a good way to start. Self guided option is much more cost effective than a tour guide. The staff are very friendly and helpful 🙂"
