Soggiorno di una notte a Milazzo. Stanza originale che richiamava la cabina di una grande barca a vela. Purtroppo però la stanza non aveva finestre, se non una nel bagno e quindi è stato difficoltoso dormire la notte a meno di accendere e spegnere di continuo il condizionatore. La luce in stanza è scarsa ed inoltre il lume di uno dei due comodini non funzionava. Il bagno, nel complesso pulito, necessita di manutenzione dato che lo smalto della doccia è saltato via, così come i bordi dello specchio sono ossidati e la parete di fronte presenta aree in cui l'intonaco è caduto. Abbiamo inoltre trovato una bottiglietta di shampoo già aperta. Servizio alla reception disponibile 24 su 24, colazione ok.

Excellent position on seafront and yet within relatively easy walking distance of the ferries. Fishermen sold their fresh catches opposite in the mornings. Quirky rooms.

Superb, friendly service
We planned to visit Vulcano for a night before our stay here and our hosts were happy for us to park outside the extra night and also leave some baggage with them. This plus other kindnesses, a very good breakfast and excellent price made us very happy to have stayed at Il Principe. The room decor was interesting and pleasing - also quiet in terms of street our hotel noise but the aircon a little noisy.

It was fine the breakfast was ok they ran out of eggs after the first day and never got more ! Which is not the way an Italian would think the pull out couch was pretty aweful and the area is just ok but Antonio at the front desk was so great he made our stay perfect Good location to see the island and get boat and ferry trips dinners r wonderful in all the restaurants we visited

Home away from home!
I recently completed an 11-day stay @ Il Principe - this is my 3rd time staying at the hotel and I was again reminded why I love it so much. The hotel is conveniently located in the quaint, port-side town of Milazzo so you're just a stroll away from nearby restaurants, paticcerias, and the promenade but also quiet enough that you feel like you're escaping the hustle & bustle. The rooms are spacious w/ good A/C - worth noting because the same can not be said for other hotels in the area. The hotel also offers a gym (another rarity) and daily breakfast. All of this alone would be enough for me to return again and again but the staff is the real selling point. All of the front desk attendants are so incredibly helpful - from offering dining recommendations, to outlining the best running routes in the area - they are both professional and personable. Can't wait until I get to return!

Terrific, well located hotel
Stayed 3 nights although had planned to only stay 1. Terrific location for what we wanted to do in Milazzo. Hotel is clean and quaint and of great value. Staff, although not proficient in English, were good to deal with. Breakfast was satisfactory. Parking, if you can, was right at the door on the street. We were a short drive to Capo Milazzo, 20 minute walk to the port and 20 minute walk (straight up) to "the castle". Local fishermen worked directly across the street. The IL Principe offered us a lot of local flavor by being in that location.

Stayed here several years and it was great. Somewhat disappointed this time around. Paint was peeling and some mildew in the shower. The breakfast was nowhere near what it once was. On the plus side the staff was fantastic.

Covers the necessities for a short trip.
Il Principe is located perfectly, right on the sea front at the northwestern edge of the bay giving access both to daily fish markets, the castle and the town centre with only a short drive to Capo Milazzo. The hotel covers all needs but is fairly basic the biggest downside was the air conditioning being very noisy. We didnt experience the wellness suite but the rooftop spa was shut which was a didappointment. All in all I would recommend this for a one night stop over but not a longer trip.

The hotel is clean and comfortable. The first room we were sent to had no windows and was strangely kitted out to look like some kind of ship. Really odd! And very, very oppressive. The gym and "spa" were unplugged/switched off. We used the gym but were told it was extra to use the spa (in a way that suggested they would really rather we didn't bother) - which was in any case switched off. As a family of four we had two rooms (one for the kids) which weren't particularly close together - and one of the rooms was very pokey. But it was nice enough - provided you are out and about all day. Perhaps one more suited to the more mature customer.

Very disappointing and uncomfortable; not 4 stars
This hotel was a big disappointment. They had recently remodeled, and it was clean, but the choices made in the remodel made for a very uncomfortable bathroom. 1) This hotel had the tiniest shower stall of any hotel I encountered on my 3-week Sicilian trip, and most hotels I stayed in were 2 stars! The shower drain was blocked and flooded after about one minute. I told the desk, but it took until the next day to fix it. 2) The toilet violently sprayed water all over the toilet seat and floor and anyone standing near it. Thus, the toilet seat was constantly wet... yuck. 3) The toilet paper dispenser was the locking kind that rations you to one square at a time. Just like high school. Other problems included... The AC was basically nonfunctional because it was so weak. And worse, it only worked when the key was in the panel, so you returned to a burning hot room and it never got cooled off. There was no Do Not Disturb sign for the door. When we arrived, we had two burned out light bulbs which I unscrewed and left on the bed for replacement; they were thrown out but not replaced. This hotel is definitely a far cry from 4 star service!! So, even though it was clean and remodeled, it was one of the most unpleasant hotels of my vacation. I feel bad they remodeled and put in such horrible showers and toilets. Should note: it has a nice location on the waterfront and 15 minute walk to the ferries. Also, there is no "private beach" or beach at all.

Probably the best option in Milazzo
The Principe is a reasonable property in a pleasant location. I was one of only two or three guests staying for a night at the end of the season but was given a room that overlooked a loading bay and service area, rather than the sea. The power saving efforts of the management resulted in it being difficult to see the keyhole in the door and impossible to charge my camera while I was out of the room. Although very elaborately decorated, the general feel of the hotel was more travel lodge than boutique.

The hotel was very clean and tastefully decorated. The room was a bit small, but very good quality. The bathroom was clean, comfortable, and well equipped. The breakfast room was clean, the service was very good, and the continental spread was elegantly presented. Our only disappointment was that our room was not a sea view, but in the end, it was nice to be on the quiet side of the building. I would call it a luxury boutique hotel.

This was a really great place to stay. Absolutely top class with highest standards of rooms, furniture, cleanliness, ambiance; it reaaly deserves more than four stars. Staff was very helpful, especially Antonio at the desk. Everything was within a few minutes walk; very convenient, and best place we stayed at in Sicily.

Principe Hotel
Excellent hotel with an excellent location. No garage parking was offered for my motorbike but luckily we had a ground floor room with the bike parked just outside our window but for motorcyclists a secure garage parking would be important. We tried speaking to the receptionist in English however her English was very weak and our Italian was much better :) and it worked anyway. Breakfast was typically bread, butter ham and cheese and rolls + coffee and cakes and some powdered juice but OK. Great hotel overall. Only complaint was that for a 4 star hotel I expected better TV channel choice of Free to Air channels but only had Italian local stations or PAY TV from SKY.

Marvellous Milazzo
Milazzo is an interesting town and this hotel has a fabulous location. It is close to a fantastic bar and some great eating places. What we liked best was walking out the front door and finding men selling fish on the harbour edge, others repairing their nets and the general friendly atmosphere everywhere. The hotel is within walking distance of everything you want to see and is handy for the post to get the boat to the Aeolian Islands. We had a superior room which was very roccoco in its design with a huge bed and fabulous furniture and bathroom.

II Principe Hotel in Milazzo, Sicily is a very impressive hotel. Finished to a very high modern standard with many classy facilities.. During our stay the staff were very welcoming and helpful. I highly recommend this hotel as it ticks all the right boxes.

Hotel Il Principe - A Mixed Experience
We'll mention the positive first: the hotel manager, Davido, is wonderful: professional, polite, knowledgeable, all things you'd expect from any hotel staff but especially the manager. He was a gem. Now for the negative: the front desk staff, particularly a singular woman who checked us both in and out, was the most dreadful experience we've ever had, in any country, at any star-rated property (even one-star hotels), hands-down. Unprofessional. discourteous, and unapologetically unskilled in her job. She was and continues to be a horror. Needs to be replaced - Davido, you know about whom we are speaking. Until we know this woman has been replaced, we would never ever recommend staying at this otherwise charming hotel simply because, with the experience we had, we couldn't recommend the hotel in good conscience and have other travelers go through what we went through.
