Top Messina Coast Hotel Reviews
Best Western Plus Hotel Terre di Eolo
"Unbeatable view and location. Loved our stay. The rooms are amazing. Only recommendation is improving the breakfast which was good but could be better considering we’re in Sicily where everything is amazing."
Seaside Hotel
"Reception is open 24/7 and everyone was so kind and friendly. Rooms were immaculate including the bathrooms. Breakfast was good. Parking is a little complicated. We went in August and we reserved a parking spot anticipating that the street parking would be full but someone needs to open and close the gate for you every time you want to get in and out. Overall, highly recommend"
Terraces d'Orlando
"The apartment is spacious and clean. AC units are strong so it is nice for summer stay. The beach, supermarkets and restaurants are all walkable. If you are beach person, this place is for you. It is way less crowded than the popular beaches. We forgot our card one day and the office can remotely open the door for us which is very helpful. The property has parking. Finding parking around is not easy. So having parking is a plus. Highly recommended!"
HOTEL MARCONI
"Great stay, thanks."
Agriturismo Mama Lina
"I cannot say enough about our wonderful stay at Mama Lina Agriturismo. The owner was very kind to pick us up from the train station and arranged for us to get back into town when we were ready to pick up our car. The staff was kind, attentive, and efficient. The view from the property was absolutely breathtaking and the pool was refreshing. My favorite thing was to sit along the fence and listen to the cow bells in the pasture below. The food was incredible, cooked fresh every day. If you stay, do not miss dinner at Mama Lina! Our room was clean and well maintained. I hope to return soon."
VRclub Villa Ridente
"VIlla Ridente is truly a gem. Located along the northern coast of Sicily in an isolated area, there is beauty and peace both on the property and on the beach below. Professional chef Antonio Gaglio prepares sumptuous Sicilian meals served in an elegant dining room that overlooks the Tyrennian Sea and the Aeolian islands. The famous Sicilian warmth pervades every part of the experience. Suites are large, comfortable, and family-friendly. The entire resort caters to people of all ages, with morning yoga classes and children’s activities on the beach and live shows in a small outdoor theatre that allows children of all ages to be entertained while the family eats the best pizza in Sicily. Though the resort offers all of these activities, it is primarily a place of quiet, solitude and beauty. And the price is very affordable. In an era of overtourism, this beautiful spot ]p"
Magrì Comfort House
"The property is very clean, and the host was very responsive. Very comfortable accommodations."
Hotel Palazzo Fortunato
"Lovely large room. Excellent, welcoming service. Great hospitality in the morning for breakfast and check-out. "
Testa di Monaco Natural Beach
"My accommodations were comfortable. The restaurant provided a nice breakfast selection especially the cakes and fruit. In addition they provided delicious coffee choices and croissants. The dinner menu has many selections everything was fresh and delicious. The cannoli was outstanding. The staff was very helpful as I had difficulties with my travel they solved my problem kindly and professionally. The rest of the staff was pleasant and helpful particularly Marielena(sic) who with her warmth and attention made my solitary dining experience very pleasant. Thank you again."

Pocket Guide: Sicily Messina Coast Hotels
The coastal and inland villages around Messina are as varied as anything you’ll find in Sicily – a mixture of lively seaside resorts and tranquil villages surrounded by olive groves.
Where to Stay on and near the Messina Coast
Sicily’s Tyrrhenian coast has a wealth of long sandy beaches broken up by grassy headlands and capes. Head west from Messina and explore the large number of seaside resorts that are off the tourist radar and known only to locals. Choose from the many modern hotels on offer, where the beaches are practically on your doorstep and you can enjoy the luxury of outdoor pools as well.
You might plum for an intimate B&B set in rolling hills with palm-filled gardens to relax in and fantastic views of the sea. Or you could choose an apartment with a kitchen if you want to make use of the delicious local produce. If not, there’s always the chance to stay at an agriturismo, a farm hotel where the owners grow their own food and serve it up for dinner.
What to Do around the Messina Coast
Soak up the sun on one of the countless beaches on the Tyrrhenian coast. Check out the wide beaches in the villages of Capo d’Orlando, Piraino, Gioiosa Marea and Brolo. Many of the beaches have cafes, beach clubs, water sports, children’s play areas, while others are untouched and rarely get crowded even in the height of summer. And all around the Messina Coast are the forested mountains of Sicily, giving a dramatic backdrop to the Tyrrhenian Sea.
If you visit the port of Milazzo, you can hop on one of the regular ferries to the Aeolian islands. Try and make it a day trip to really get a feel for them. Lipari, the main island, has hot springs and a walled old town as well as an archaeological museum. Stromboli nearby is a popular destination thanks to its constantly erupting volcano and eerie black-sand beaches. Time your return boat journey for dusk and you can see the lava flow snaking down the volcano.
