Bas and his chef Derek bent over backwards to accommodate during what was a very difficult time for them at the tail end of the second lockdown. With no other staff to support them, and making preparations for the reopening, they still found time to make sure I had access to evening meals and breakfast, despite the fact they had no reason to open the kitchen, just to serve me. "Would be nice to have more than one teabag in the room and more coffee and milk. The milk had gone off. The teaspoons were dirty so wasn’t very nice to have that in the morning. On the positive side, lovely size room love the smell of the shower gel body cream, et cetera, and plenty of towels"

"The room was nice, the location was excellent. Very secure, you have to use your rm key to get beyond the ground floor to the rms. Also the hotel is in the same little square as the train station. My only complaint is that there's so much going on in the front of the hotel we thought it was a restaurant. Then we realized that the entrance to the Chillis was actually the entrance to the hotel. Other than that the place is great, and in fantastic proximity to the train station, a small Sainsburys and cafes . Would definitely recommend and if we ever come back would not hesitate to stay there again"
