"I have been in this lodge 2 days with my sons. I liked the style, the view and the staff. But in particular the surrounding area was amazing small rivers, lakes, wildlife was all there! Lions with cubs, a family of hyenas, antelopes, giraffes, wildebeests, bison… beautiful!"

"The Island Safari Lodge is a great option for those staying in Maun to explore the Okavango Delta, Chiefs Island, and Morami. The property is massive with extensive walking trails and wildlife. The entire property is also walled and gated so you won’t encounter dangerous animals. The lodging is a bit dated so think of a higher end cabin experience as opposed to a hotel. "The place itself is nice and clean and comfortable. The staff are friendly (just one lady during the day and security guard at night). The location is a bit secluded and no where near the location stated on Hotels.com. They have it in the city centre which is the main reason why i chose to stay there but in actual fact the location is on the outskirts along a dirt track, off the main road to the east of the river."

"This was a beautiful hidden Inn, the outside appearance does not do it nearly as much justice as it deserves. The interior was modern, well kept and up to date. The rooms were very comfortable. We had a private lounge, and kitchen which was very handy. Its a great place for families travelling together. The staff were also very kind and helpful. Only issue we had was the water from the taps was a bit yellow so it wasnt safe to drink."

"We arrived at the Rivernest Boutique Cottages, and were told that they had been overbooked (though we had booked online several months prior) and that we were to be moved. We were sent to a different hotel a few minutes drive away, and given a room. The hotel we were re-booked at was cheaper than Rivernest, and we did not receive a credit or a refund of any kind. We had heard good things about this place, but unfortunately got to experience none of them. Good luck!"
