My husband and I stayed here from January 9th to the 17th for our honeymoon. I had booked a partial ocean view room, and we received an almost full ocean view! All the staff showed us the "aloha" spirit and were extremely helpful in helping us plan our trip.
good experience, hap hazard in getting around (several different levels which takes a few elevators),very dated hotel. Pool are congested, not enough lounge chairs with cushions.Pool staff not policing the saved lounge chairs in pool area (I think 30 to 60 minute limit of being saved).
very relaxing vacation, one which we only had to use our car for one outing. the shuttle allowed us to stay in and around the property. your staff, both inside and around the spa and pool areas were great
We stayed at the Marriott because the rest of the family was at the Grand Wailea next door and they were already full. Yet the consensus was that our hotel was better, even though it was significantly less expensive. ONLY disappointment was their best restaurant. Good food but the service was good ...
Most of the time service at the pool was very slow but the housekeepers and grounds keepers were amazing - very friendly and clean. Third time staying at the resort and we would go back.
Excellent resort in a great location on a very nice beach in Wailea. Great service in room and around the hotel amenities. Generous on Nespresso coffee in room and always passing around treats while sitting by the pool. Nice lounges and excellent service by the pool. Also great beach connected to ...
Maui Island’s tropical landscape, fantastic weather and picturesque beaches make it a popular wedding destination. Get married in one of Maui’s many high-end wedding hotels and resorts to take advantage of their fantastic facilities, coastal locations and attentive service.
South Maui’s Wailea is one of the most exclusive areas on the island, and its upscale hotels and resorts attract the rich and famous. Wailea’s large wedding hotels and resorts have beautiful event spaces perfect for hosting large wedding ceremonies and banquets. Or for a more intimate beach wedding, consider immaculate gardens in remote Hana, overlooking the Pacific.
Another picture-perfect spot for wedding ceremonies is Lahaina, on the north-western coast. It’s a historic town but also has a lively nightlife and is the best spot for joining a whale-watching boat trip if you’re looking for a unique wedding celebration.
You could also celebrate your wedding with friends and family around the pool, having classic cocktails served at the tiki bar, or enjoy a banquet or luau party at the restaurant.
Enjoy a pre-wedding spa treatment at your wedding hotel or ease any nerves at the hotel’s swim-up or tiki bar. Then watch the sun sink below the horizon from your furnished lanai before sliding into your signature bed and premium bedding.
If you’re a guest at a wedding in Maui, you could either join the happy couple at their resort, where there are plenty of rooms for wedding guests, or you could book one of the mid-range in Kihei, ten minutes from Wailea.
Staying in Kihei means you’re also near the Shops at Wailea, so you can pick up any last-minute designer wedding clothes, gifts and jewellery.
Make the most of your stay in Maui and enjoy its golf courses. Stay in Kapalua to be close to the award-winning Plantation Golf Course, known for hosting the annual PGA Tour’s Hyundai Tournament of Champions, so you can get a round or two in before the wedding.
