Great location for swimming and snorkling. Dukes restaurant on site. Bbq on premises. Full kitchen. Can get 2 king size beds. Staff-ok. Grocery store in walking distance.
Beautiful island and this hotel is a great choice to stay. Beautiful hotel and views. Relaxing, yet many choices to do things. Thoroughly enjoyed the live music by the pool at happy hour.
Have stayed here many times and will continue to come back. The facility is a little dated but still clean. The location is the best on Kaanapali beach. You cannot beat walking out of your room to one of the best snorkeling spots on the island.
This condominium is located directly at the beach and convenient for driving to different interesting places on the island. The small kitchen was completely equipped. The furniture was a little worn but clean and in the good shape. We would like to return by chance.
The vast majority of Maui Island’s hotels have pools to make the most of the island’s year-round good weather. Head for the largest Maui resorts of Wailea and Lahaina, or to the northwest coastal towns of Kaanapali and Kapalua. Choose from mid-range B&Bs or self-catering condos to luxury all-inclusive beach or golf resorts with pools.
As well as swimming pools, Maui’s hotels often have access to golf courses and beaches and full-service spas and fitness centres. But if you’d prefer to unwind and sip on cocktails, many of Maui’s hotel pools have adult-only swim-up bars, almost the definition of decadence. For hotels with pools in Maui, you might stay in a four- or five-star internationally renowned brand hotel – think Four Seasons, Hyatt, Ritz Carlton – that tap into Hawaiian traditions and culture in their swimming-pool design, providing cabanas and sun loungers. Some have infinity pools with views stretching out across the Pacific, others have tastefully designed children’s pools with slides just steps from world-class golf courses, keeping everyone happy.
Pick a hotel with a pool in Kaanapali to be close to a number of Maui’s popular beaches, including the mile-long D.T. Fleming Beach Park, which is a great spot for swimming, surfing and snorkelling. Make use of one of the public barbecues on the beach while the sun goes down. After dinner, pull up a stool at one of its many bars to enjoy a refreshing cocktail.
Along on Kaanapali Beach, join the crowds each evening watching the legendary cliff diving. And in the evening, make your way to Whalers Village for some high-street shopping, modern restaurants and island entertainment under one roof.
The southern end of Hanakaoo Beach Park is popular with snorkellers, though the beach is better known as a canoeing hotspot. The beach hosts most of Maui Island’s major canoe competitions and races, and from your sun lounger you can watch many canoers practicing off the coast.
From decadent adult-only pools to fun-filled pools with slides for the whole family, there are hotels across Maui to suit water babies of all ages.
