"The staff were absolutely excellent in every way and were the best thing about the hotel. Thanks to all the staff for being so helpful and so friendly. The breakfast was good in terms of choice and availability. The fruit could have been fresher. The bar area was great and offered great services and refreshments. Just a couple of small things re the room which explains why I didn’t give 5 stars. The pillows were very hard - we were a big party and had several rooms and everyone had that same feedback. Also my half of the bed was on a slope. The shower head was immovable so you have to wear a shower cap. However it was clean and the towels were changed daily. The parking wasn’t particularly easy. It’s great if you’re staying the weekend as there’s a fantastic rate at Nottingham station for that, but outside of that, navigating parking can be tricky."

"Room excellent, upgraded to executive room, but on 2nd floor, with no lift working. This was OK, but only because we had very light luggage. We really need a ground floor room if there's no lift now, as we are both pensioners sand beginning to experience mobility issues with stairs."

"Breakfast was very good, good variety and hot. My wife is Lactose intolerant and wheat free. The staff were very helpful in making sure that she was given freshly cooked items. The room was clean ans Sraff very friendly. We didn't use the bar as were were attending an R.A.F. Reunion. The only disappointment was the cost of the car park."

"The room was excellent, good size and with the hot tub it made for a very relaxing weekend. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. The only downside of the stay was the lack of a bed and breakfast option. However this should not detract from the stay as the food at Damon’s restaurant was excellent and good value for money."

"Clean property, amazingly friendly staff (especially Matilda). Loved the ambience, the quality of the food and wines. Only very minor quibble was we were in the eaves which did not give us a lot of headroom when getting into bed. Loved this place and would highly recommend it and would like to return in the future. "Good location. Nice spacious rooms & bathrooms and we had a great patio. Only downside is the carpet (bit worn) would rather have hard surface."
