At first I thought I was going to be disappointed as the room I got had no view and I was going to be there for 7 nights. When I asked for better room, they did tell me I was already upgraded so I was a little worried to have this room for 7 nights. But it became quite comfortable. Room was very clean. Cleaning crew found my sentimental watch and put it in a safe but easy-to-find location. Guy at front desk (Kim?) was awesome. He gave me metro tips and suggested where to go when I couldn't decide. Lastly I left my wallet inside my luggage after I locked it with key inside and shuttle was ready to take me to airport. :// (vacation-brain mode) He and a colleague worked so diligently helping me "break into" my own luggage. They had a solution to solve the problem. They kept me calm. This little room with no view became my little sanctuary and they had me on the 1st floor which was located right by the office/lounge area where there were windows I could look out from while checking emails. It was really a great experience for me.
Staff was extremely personable and made every effort to speak English with me (as my French was rather poor). The staff helped me with maps and becoming oriented.
I did wish the hotel provided a corkscrew so I could have a glass of wine in my room before going out. Alas, there were none to be found. Also, I asked for ice, and that was unavailable. All and all, it was a welcoming place and there was easy access to buses and the metro.

The place is well located, close to Marais and walking distance from Le Louvre and Place de la Concorde. The rooms are good and clean, very modern and well taken care of. Breakfast is very limited innthe hotel, but there are nice places close by. The staff is nice, but don't expect an exceptional concierge service.

We had a very pleasant weekend in Paris. The Jeanne D'Arc hotel was very comfortable, warm and clean. Our room was stylish, quiet and attractive. The bed was so comfortable. Breakfast was simple but very nice.
The staff where very friendly and helpfull, couldn't do enough to assist. It is a small hotel, rooms small but adequate. Rooms clean, although first floor hallway would benefit from having a new carpet although it was clean.
We stayed at the Beaumarchais 5 nights in October and enjoyed our time there.
Its location is definitely this hotel's strongest suit. It is extremely close (one minute walk) to a line 8 metro station, which allowed us to go anywhere we wanted with a max of 1 switch - very convenient. The Marais area that the hotel is located in is full of cafes, shops and bakeries.
The staff was gracious and helpful.
A few things to keep in mind before visiting: Although the room is equipped with air conditioner and a small television, there is no electric kettle. Also, the shower stall is tiny, which makes showering comfortably difficult. The room is also not large, and strangely divided: A small entry room with a desk and a chair and a short hall leading to the bedroom, which is quite small.
These things didn't bother us very much, as we mostly spent time outside and only returned to the hotel in the evening to shower and sleep. The good outweighed the bad, by far. We would visit Hotel Beaumarchais again.

No, there is no lift. Nor is there spa, swimming pool, gym, restaurant or car park. That's because it's part of a 16th Century church. If you want those things, this is not the place for you. You probably don't want any kind of church.
However, if you value things like history, character, antique furniture, stone spiral staircases, wooden beams in the ceiling, breakfast in bed and buttresses flying above your bed (we stayed in that very room) it's pretty hard to beat.
It's in a fantastic location, just a few minutes from the Pompidou, Hotel de Ville and Notre Dame, a 15-minute stroll to the Louvre. And being slap in the Marais means excellent bars, restaurants and nightlife just a few steps away.
While the stairs may get a bit much after a full day tramping round Paris, a couple of drinks next door soon ease the pain. Then you can wind your way upstairs to a room that always gets a little "wow" moment
