"We received a warm welcome on arrival. The room was compacted but well presented and clean. Modern shower, ironing board and built in walldrobe. There is car parking at the rear with cameras and spot lights to keep your car secure. We used the swimming pool and sauna during our stay it was great to relax for while!! The breakfast was well presented and catered for special requests ie poached eggs. Overall we would stay here again in the near future. Many thanks. Well done."

"Our suite was large and clean, and had we been staying for more than 1 night, the fridge and dining room table & chairs would have been well used and much appreciated. We arrived when it was dark and, unfortunately, the grounds were poorly lit so it took a while to locate our suite number using our mobile phone torches. The rooms smelt a bit damp and the bathroom had a slight 'eggy' smell, although everything looked clean and well kept. It was a large suite. Unfortunately the WiFi did not reach the grounds of the suite so we were not able to log on to any film streaming apps, despite ringing through to Reception and them saying they would 'refresh it'. The main TV was not HD and the remote control buttons did not all work. A freshen up of the grounds is needed, as it could be a beautiful property, but was virtually devoid of any spring flowers or benches to sit on. It is in need of some TLC. The breakfast staff were pleasant, and they did provide a vegetarian sausage alternative, but we had to wait for certain hot food items to be replenished, and the croissants and pancakes never did appear. The price of our suite and breakfast was slightly less than a local Premier Inn, and I would give this property another go but perhaps in the main hotel rather than the suite. "

"On arrival, we were welcomed at Reception by builders braking out floor tiles and noise that you could hardly hear yourself speak. I complained and was told by the Manager that we had been informed of the on going works, this was not true. We would not have booked if we had been informed. He also told me that the hotel had no communication with hotels.com Breakfast very poor! Room was good apart from noise Will not use again. Please refund our costs. Graham Aldrich"

"Loud, kids running the corridors until god knows what hours at night. Staff didn’t want anything to do with it. Waited over an hour to be checked in. Key card didn’t work - waited further 40 min to be resolved , room amenities empty , room hot and aircon didn’t work. Don’t recommend. "

"This hotel is in a great location in the centre, clean well appointed rooms. A good breakfast and great dining area. The only down side is noise in the rooms, woken several times with late night noise from folk in the corridor. "

"Kind staff and nice food and drink. Especially the £15.95 deal for pizza and drink. Room was decent but it could do with some better facilities as windows didn't open, no wardrobe and towels kept falling off the metal ball. Sink was also easily blocked due to drainage issues"

"The room was sort of clean but had clearly seen better days. The bathroom was not great. The toilet roll holder had been pulled out of the wall by a previous guest and was just hanging there. The towel rail did not work and was thick with dust, the walls were scuffed and marked for what appeared to be a long time. I like the hotel, have stayed before but they do need to sort out the rooms "
