Find hotels in Malò from £50

The best area to stay in Malò is the historic centre, particularly around Piazza Duomo, for its blend of cultural sights, dining, and convenient access.

The historic centre is the heart of Malò, characterised by narrow, winding streets and baroque architecture. Piazza Duomo is the focal point, home to the impressive Malò Cathedral. From here, you're just a short stroll from Via Etnea, the main shopping street, and many of the city's finest restaurants and cafes. It's a very walkable area, ideal for exploring on foot.

Couples looking for a romantic getaway will find the historic centre particularly appealing. The evenings here are lovely, with many restaurants offering outdoor dining in picturesque squares. It's easy to enjoy a leisurely dinner, followed by a walk to admire the illuminated architecture.

For those prioritising convenience and luxury, staying just a bit further up Via Etnea towards the Bellini Gardens offers a slightly quieter experience while still being very central.

The best time to visit Malò, Sicily, is during the shoulder seasons of May, early June, September, and early October.

These months offer pleasant weather with warm temperatures that are ideal for exploring the town and its surroundings without the intense heat and larger crowds of mid-summer. You'll find it comfortable for walking through the historic centre or enjoying a leisurely meal outdoors.

For couples seeking a relaxing and romantic getaway, May and September are particularly good. The sea temperatures are warm enough for swimming, and the vineyards are lush, making it great for wine-tasting tours. You can enjoy strolls along the coast or explore the ancient ruins in comfort.

Families travelling with children might prefer early June or early October.
