Lovely location

Posted 22-Sep-2016
Pros: Location and decor.
Cons: Breakfast service and food. Cheaper drinks and snacks.
Location: Pine walk lovely. Not a lot to do if you are not a sun worshipper. 'No Frills' excursions a good company to use - does what it says on the tin.
Very warm welcome by staff on arrival - were expecting us and everything was ready. Porter very friendly and explained everything about the room well. Rooms very clean and cleaning staff were diligent & friendly. Breakfasts were a bit chaotic - staff friendly but service very inconsitent. Food that was ordered (eggs) were ok but hot food from buffet was never more than warm and once almost cold! Coffee very strong but fine if you ask for a jug of hot water to dilute. Milk in coffee long life i.e. horrible! Snacks and drinks very expensive. Checkout very efficient - well prepared and accurate. New tax levied against tourists explained at check in and again when we checked out and itemised on the bill.

Short stay in the Illa D'Or

Posted 12-Sep-2016
Had booked a romantic short break for a 30th Wedding Anniversary. Wow, what a great hotel. Very accommodating, we were upgraded to a room with a balcony for a reduced rate, thank you so much. I can't recommend it enough. Great staff, great rooms, great food and service. Must save up for a return visit.

A must stay hotel.

Posted 20-Aug-2016
Pros: All the staff were most helpful and special mention to the hard workers of the outside bar.
Location: Perfect location and a lovely walk into town, the hotel can organise everything from its own boat trips to bicycles.
A beautiful hotel in a perfect location. The hotel is spotless and is kept that way with a very attentive staff. Two swimming pools the sea almost lapping the front door, two restaurants a terrific outdoor bar the list could go on and on.

Super Hotel, perfect location

Posted 12-Aug-2016
Pros: Almost everything
Cons: The lighting in the dining room at night.....too bright
Location: The Pine walk is the perfect location for long walks a bit of shopping, good restaurants and sunbathing
Having traveled to Mallorca many times we had always wanted to stay at the Illa D'or. It didn't disappoint us at all, we managed to secure a room at very later notice and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The hotel has been refurbished recently and my only criticism is that there is a lack of colour throughout the hotel and the lighting in the dinning room is far too bright at night.

Beautiful view of bay

Posted 18-Jul-2016
Lovely Hotel in general with great views across the bay and at the quieter end of Pollenca. The room we had been allocated was a bit small and the view was of a wall, we couldn't upgrade as the hotel was full. The staff were very good, always polite and helpful.

Fabulous hotel on the Pine Walk

Posted 05-Jul-2016
Beautiful hotel, we were upgraded to a suite, and it was amazing! Food was extremely good, staff were all lovely, and so helpful, pool was pretty, views and location are perfect for a relaxing holiday. Parking no problem on the street outside. Would not hesitate to recommend and will definitely go back again!

Illa d'Or an exceptional hotel experience.

Posted 27-Jun-2016
Pros: The room was a nice size. We opted for a room without a see view, but we had our own balcony and plenty of space.
Location: located just on the outskirts of Purto Pollenca on the way to Formentor. I would recommend the drive to the light house, its a bit of a eye opener.
We chose to stay at the Illa d'Or, as I had planned to propose while we were away. I could not have chosen a better hotel or holiday location to do it. The hotel staff were excellent, and the service can not be faulted. The attention to detail provided by the staff is exceptional. They are all so friendly, and nothing is a challenge to them. The hotel has a fantastic layout, and is very inviting. The indoor pool had just been renovated before we arrived, and the new services as excellent. The Illa d'Or is far beyond it's given rating. If you get the opportunity I would always recommend a stay here. The town is a little walk away, but this adds to the wonder that the hotel has.I can't recommend the hotel enough. You will not be disappointed.

Great location

Posted 26-Jun-2016
Pros: Location
Location: Walk into the port and chill whilst having some great food
We were in the the apartments vs the hotel and found it a great quiet location. Having use of the hotel gym and spa was a plus as well as a pool for the apartments only.
