"Clean and fresh with very comfy beds. The kitchen had everything we needed for a short stay, and a lovely fresh fruit bowl, a loaf of bread and some yummy gluten free biscuits. Butter and milk in the fridge.The only issue I had was I was cold! Yes, there is a reverse-cycle airconditioner in the living area, but no other heating, not even in the freezing cold bathroom.The bed was nice and warm though.It was peaceful and quiet and has a nice outlook and yes, Kookaburras calling in the morning.I'd probably stay again but not in Winter!"

"The house was perfect for our Easter family weekend, it's peaceful yet close to the beach. The house has absolutely everything you need and more, it's the best stocked kitchen we've ever seen in holiday accommodation. Our dog loved the big fenced front and back gardens and the fireplace was a big hit for us! It got chilly in the evening so we lit a fire and the house heated quickly and was so cosy. There's lots of books, games, literally everything you can think of is there, it's a real home away from home. The beds are very comfortable too.All in all, we would love to come back to The Mac Shak, it's lovely!"

The house was very clean, well equipped and beautifully furnished. A fabulous panoramic view, Situated across the road from Bouddi National Park with a trail head close by. Plus a short drive to Killcare Beach provides an ideal location. We were an extended family gathering of six adults and two young children plus a small dachshund. The house was absolutely perfect in every way. "
