"I booked in early so I had to do some cleaning myself. The studio flat is nice and bright with small practical kitchen. The bathroom was shared between male and female but had not lock. Checked out before before the lock was fitted, too slow in response to that issue. Staff was helpful."

"The room was really lovely 4*. It was quiet, overlooked lovely gardens. Great size and nicely laid out. But coming into hotel reception was dark and smelt of stale beer....we actually thought of leaving. Staff not very friendly or welcoming, apart from one person in breakfast room who was very helpful...Leo. Food and breakfast were all good. We didn't use swimming pool as it didn't look great and had read several poor reviews. But location was brilliant. Short walk into a lovely high street and along the canal. So room 4* staff and reception area are just about 3* I was surprised how dark it is inside as it is right on sea front but there were no lounges, dining areas over looking the sea. Sea front and walks were stunning. Parking was great. Room was clean but not spotless. And we had a tricky encounter with staff when we asked for clean cups for our room! Overall quite a pleasant stay, positives just about out weighed the negatives"

"Unfortunately the gym and steam room weren't open due to repairs. Staff were accommodating in allowing us to extend stay after check-out Missed lunch as bar was only open for 2 hours but had a lovely late lunch across the street at a lovely pub Spacious double room"

ORIDA Maidstone Hotel

"The buffet was extremely disappointing. Overcooked fish. No vegan alternative. Had to wait ages for someone to check each time which food was dairy free (for an allergy) as nothing had labels on it. The room was clean but the bathroom floor had permanent stains on it and the sink was also chipped or just very old. Didn't have time to use the pool but could smell it at the end of the hall near the pool. Pay for parking daily and you have to re-register your car each day! Reception area bar area and patio area were all very pleasant to sit in. Coffee making facilities in conference area was good, nice coffee."
