"There's no doubt that The Boat Inn is a lovely, traditional pub in a super location, right on the banks of the Wye with good views of the river from the bedrooms above the pub. The surroundings are wooded and distinctly bosky, which is nice. There is a small village (Redbrook) with a village shop a few hundred metres away across an old railway bridge. The Boat serves excellent food, but only on certain days - Thursday to Sunday, from memory. BUT beware of the journey there, from the main roads:...

The garden is a plus and we were able to walk around it and sit in it when the weather permitted. Enjoyable to look out the lounge window and see green woodpeckers feeding leisurely among the variety of birds that visit. Bring binoculars!"

"Beautiful cottage with everything you need for a romantic getaway, plenty of space and the décor with so much love put into the property. Hot tub was amazing loved it. We ordered from the menu homemade lasagne garlic bread and some chips for our first night and was so worth it tasted better than any pub meal. "The property owners were great and made sure our arrival was welcoming with great info and welcome pack. The property is a unique original cottage with hone comforts and incredible view. There are some great walks and lots of activities nearby and a visit to ye older ferrie inn is a must. As with anywhere in this area to get the most you have to prepared to be a bit active and there are a few steps required to get down to the cottage but definitely worthwhile.
