Rooms are very hip and stylish as is the check in process. Our host met us at the door as we entered into a magical 1600 ‘ building with original small wooden spiral staircase. The hotel is walking distant from the central station, the area is safe. We visited the city on foot because we like walking and the weather was pleasant. The tramway is another way to travel around. The hotel is very clean and the staff were very polite and very helpful. The breakfast bar was a bonus which helped us to have a good start of the day. The staff were very welcoming and made our stay more enjoyable. The breakfast was superb and plentiful. We were in a room on the top floor and as the building is 330 years old although the stairs are steep it made the hotels Character. The room was given a modern art look which we found delightful. Though the app said the reseption hours were limited we didn’t realize the check in was within limited hours as well. An old building with steep stairs, but well maintained and super cozy! Marcel and Wendy (our hosts at the hotel) were really kind and helpful. A really nice thing about this hotel was that the breakfast was served in the room, which we thought is not a good thing at first. But then it felt really better because we didn't have to wear our clothes just to have breakfast. Plus, we could order only one breakfast and share it together. The hotel is in a really great location. Almost every important place in Maastricht is in the walking distance. So we didn't take any buses while we were at Maastricht (except for the first/last day from/to the train station). The only bad thing about the hotel was the stairs that were kind of scary.
