About this property

Célestins - Haut standing 120m² - Coeur de Lyon

  • A jewel box of refinement in the heart of Lyon: luxury flat, precious decor and exceptional location opposite the Théâtre des Célestins.

Le Célestins is a 120 m², 3-room flat in a Haussmann-style building, on the 3rd floor with lift, located on Place des Célestins with a majestic view of the theatre. Close to all the shops and tourist attractions, you'll be immersed in the heart of the city and able to fully appreciate all the charm that the capital of gastronomy has to offer.

The flat has the following layout:
    - An entrance hall with large storage cupboard and wardrobe
    - A sublime living room with parquet flooring, original light fittings, exceptional decorations, mouldings, colourful sofas, connected TV, art deco fireplace, large windows overlooking the theatre. In an alcove is a 2nd bed surrounded by books
    - A spacious dining room with refined decor adjoins the kitchen. This room hides a small study
    - A fully equipped kitchen with washing machine and tumble dryer, ironing board and iron
    - A separate WC
    - A bedroom with a queen-size bed (160X200), an exceptional fireplace and art deco objects

The Célestins district owes its name to the former convent of the Célestins order, established here as early as the XIVᵉ century. Located in the heart of the Presqu'île, over the centuries it has become a mecca for Lyon's cultural life, notably with the famous Théâtre des Célestins, an architectural gem from the XIXᵉ century. Today, the district captivates with its elegance, heritage and art of living, a blend of history, culture and refinement.

Disliked: Check-in
The place is large for two people. There is an elevator. The location is nice except the noise was unbearable. The bars around the theater were noisy until well past midnight, and I don’t know what was going on Saturday, the 5th of September. It was a combination of the Fast and Furious and some horror movie with drunken people making noise all night and vehicles racing around and around. Ugh. No rest here. Further, we had to wait until 6pm to get keys due to some excuse, so we sat outside in hot weather for 3 hours with our luggage. The place was not much better with no air conditioning. The good news is it is close to restaurants and has a washer/dryer.
