    After a long day of travelling and working I arrived at Britten House early evening. I was let in by Colin, shown my room, given all the details I needed, and even provided with some advice on the local area to inform my evening run. The room was spacious, clean, and had a nice two seater sofa. The bed is very soft which worried me as I'm used to firmer mattresses but I slept wonderfully and comfortably. Breakfast was really nice and cooked to my liking. If I am down that way again I will definitely be booking back in.…

    Booked the family room because you can bring your family dog. Room was spacious with 2 singles and 1 double bed. The bed linen on double had brown stains on bottom sheet and duvet, on telling reception the sheets were changed with apologies. Dog bowls were provided with a couple of dog treats, which was lovely to fine. The room wasn’t luxurious enough considering the price, could do with re decorating. Breakfast was small but tasty, unfortunately my partner found egg shell in his full English. Returning home I noticed the hotel had charged me twice for my room! assured by hotel that the second payment would be credited. This is fair enough but a hassle to keep checking my bank to see if the money had been put back in.…

    Great for us with a dog. Friendly staff good service. Lovely clean bathroom, very small tv but fine for us as only short stay. No hairdryer so I asked at reception but not a problem one was easily provided. Good breakfast would stay again. …
