Great place to stay in downtown LA! Nice room and the commute to staples center and other popular spots wasn’t bad at all. Apparently the area we stayed in was hood, but I felt fine. Even smoked a doobie behind the hotel on a back street. Áreas up and coming and the hotel was a modern contemporary vibe!

The room was fairly small and dirty. Floors had stains, the shower had hair in it, the big mirror in the room had a palm print on it and there was a beer bottle cap on the floor. Also the walls are paper thin and could hear the conversation next door.

My overall stay would have been better if the bathroom situation was different. The toliet to "vanity" ratio was incredibly close. To the point that we asked if there were any ada rooms available, which there was not. Even at that the staff stated that the only difference would be in the shower not space surroundings the toilet. Leading to me being unable to use the bathroom in my room. Resorting to using the restroom in the lobby. My suggestion would be to use pedestal sinks instead of the square metal frames that they have now.

My room felt dirty, there were stains on the lights, bed, shower, etc. There were bugs as well as a cockroach in my shower one morning.

Good service, however the hotel is on a bad block. The first room I got smelled horrible and had a hole in the carpeting, when I asked to switch they reluctantly agreed. Overall I would not recommend staying here.

Hotel staff was very accommodating. Very willing to assist . Valet was understaffed but they did their best to assist all guest . Room was decent , just that bathroom wasn’t kept up to expectation. Overall good stay and possibly will return .

The food at the onsite restaurant was pretty unimpressive, the chicken in my cauliflower bowel was very dry, almost had a jerky type of consistency to it. The room itself was OK, but just seemed tiny for the price.

PROS: Great location for downtown LA. Great service. Decent price. Love the lobby. CONS: -it's an uncomfortable Murphy bed. (Why?) -Very small bathroom -Loud music and people hanging outside like 2am. - homeless people, tents, unhealthy and unsanitary surroundings.

Spacious room. Dim lighting (it would have been nice to have some floor lamps). Window hardware fell down but maintenance was quick to fix it. It would have been nice if they had clean windows. Good customer service

Beautiful hotel and absolutely wonderful staff. My young daughter and I traveled to LA for the first time ever. The hotel we originally booked was so awful we never even checked in. We found the Mayfair and the service we received was incredible. They took what was turning into an awful trip and turned it around one hundred percent. I highly recommend this hotel. The staff is amazing and so accommodating. And the beds are so comfy!!! Definitely five star

On the night of 21 Feb I checked in into this hotel, and found out it wasn’t of my taste. I called hotel.com to cancel my reservation but being there already they could only guarantee the cancellation of the second night of I leave the next day morning. I left the hotel around 10 to my go to my new hotel. A week later I called hotel.com to find out when I’ll get refunded for the night I didn’t spend at the Mayfair and I was told that I wouldn’t get reimbursed for the night I didn’t use.

Didn't like the black/gray sticky stuff on the entry flooring to the room. Even after my husband cleaned it up the floor was still tacky and the white towel was gray. Didn't like the Sharp edges on the pocket door handle for the ADA bathroom. It was a make shift handle and not a real handle. No towel racks unless you hang them on the safely rails which isn't safe. The safely bar by the commode moved when you hung on to it because the wall wasn't exactly sturdy. Bathroom wasn't very clean. Poorly Lit room. Bed Bug (we only found one but one was enough), No staff wanted to come up to see bed bug, floor, sharp handle, etc. Had us come down to very noisy lobby and had to scream back and forth over the counter and still couldn't hear what they were saying other than just try somewhere else and that we wouldn't be charged. We gave the dirty towel and Bed bug to the two ladies on the front desk. I called and left a message for the office and general manager but they never called back.

Nice stay with a twist of creepy
the stay was nice, the hotel room was spacious, the bathroom was very small. the room needed more lighting, a clock and a fridge. otherwise the hotel was worth the cost, as it is in a great location. The bar downstairs is a plus, had fun dancing the night away!. i had a weird experience my last night, the front desk called my room to say that my door was open, and if I'm ok. My door wasn't open, and the way the door is made, it would've been physically impossible for the door to be opened except I propped it open. That was creepy, so needless to say I didn't sleep the rest of the night. I wasn't given any explanation when i asked as i checked out.
