We were under the impression that the room came with a parking spot. Once we arrived, we found It did not, so we had to pay an extra $40. Also, the staff opened the door WITHOUT KNOCKING in the morning while we were still inside the unit, prior to 11am, so that was somewhat shicking

Thank you. We do have it on all booking sites and on our website we don't have onsite parking. The 2 spots we do have are first come first serve and it costs to park. I apologize for the confusion. Housekeeping not knocking before 11 am seems unusual and will bring that up to their attention. Not something we do. We just don't open up rooms.

Loved this property. Loved the self checkin and the door code. Didn’t see any staff or another guest the entire 24 hours. But loved the room and the balcony and the roof. There are too many eating options in the area for the full kitchen and no good parking options. Had to pay meter at up to $2.50/h

Great hotel for those that don’t need a grand lobby and a list of amenities. Could not have a better location as Pier Ave is just 1 block over and the Comedy and Magic Club is across the street. The best bonus was having a rooftop deck that had comfy cushions and endless views of the ocean…and never encountered another sole up there.

The property was clean and cozy. Check-in and out could not have been easier. The area was beautiful, relaxing, and had lots to do. The only drawback is having to find street parking, but it ended up working out alright.

I really enjoyed this stay. The rooftop was beautiful as well. The beds were amazing! My biggest regret was not looking at the bed brand and to see if there was a mattress topper. I slept so good!

First Timer
First time staying at a self check in, and since I'm not completely up to speed with technology, it was a bit challenging. With that said, i was able to get assistance through text messaging and made the experience stress free. Whoever was helping me, a big thanks! I wuold highly recommend this property, it had a great roof top space, with a great view of an amazing sunset.

A Local Gem!
What a gem! The location of this boutique hotel can't be beat...so many restaurants and bars right outside the doorstep...and as far as the beach is concerned, the hotel is so close that it shares a parking lot with all the local surfers putting on wet suits and waxing their boards at 6am each morning.

We actually did not stay in the room. My wife wasn’t comfortable in the room and she could smell sewage from the bathroom. Parking was a major issue and very disruptive. We did not receive an email with the access codes and the woman that we spoke to wasn’t friendly.

Boutique Hotel on the Strand
Such a cute boutique hotel in the heart of the action. Restaurants all around and you can literally see the beach from your balcony. The rooftop area is HUGE and has so many firepits to enjoy. We were there in December and it was decorated so nicely for the holidays. And every employee we encountered was so friendly and welcoming! Would 100% stay again. Only issue would be if you are light-sensitive the room we had had a window without any covering so it stayed somewhat light all night. Otherwise, an amazing stay.

Awesome hotel!
We had a wonderful time! The hotel was so cute and the rooftop was awesome. All of the rooms are unique and very clean. Great location right by Hermosa pier. Walking distance to several shops and restaurants. We also rented beach chairs from the hotel. Staff was so kind and helpful. Highly recommend this hotel!

SW Beach Hotel is in an amazing location! The hotel is conveniently located to everything in Hermosa. It was clean, great service, overlooking the beach / pier, and they accommodated a late check out! (I do wish the bed was a bit more comfortable tho!). This hotel provided the perfect home base for my husband and I as we celebrated our anniversary. They had some good amenities (glasses, wine opener, pots and pans) which were great. Would definitely stay here again! Thank you SW Beach Hotel.
