"Staff was super helpful and friendly. The room was very clean and the kitchen was good. However I booked a non smoking area room and signed a paper for that but unfortunately it smelled like cigarettes in my room. The couch had the smell and it was very strong all around not pleasant. There were fights in front of my door at night sometimes and someone did knock on my door at 2 am and left randomly making me feel unsafe."

Best Western Grant Park Hotel

"Our stay began with me not knowing where to park (I’m not from a big city so I don’t quite understand the rules). I called the hotel and spoke with a wonderful staff member that was so patient and walked me through the steps one by one. When we went inside, that same friendly voice greeted us from behind the desk! She was so nice and sweet! She took her time with us and we never felt rushed even with others waiting their turn. When we went to the room, it was beautiful! Nice and cool in there (it was a bit muggy at this time of year) and very clean. The beds were comfortable and the view was spectacular! We had the balcony view with a clear path to the lake! Overall, this property was amazing! We have stayed one other time in Chicago at a different hotel that was supposedly a higher rating and was far from impressed. This hotel beat that one by far! If we return to Chicago, I will definitely stay here again!"

"Room was very clean with a beautiful view. Staff was nice and helpful especially during check in when there was a slight issue with the booking site we used. Got it all taken care of quickly and easily. Breakfast was just standard but the staff was very nice. Good location. Felt very safe and secure here. Will be back!"

"Very nice hotel. We had a King size bed overlooking Buckingham fountain. Booking a park view room is highly recommended. The shower/bathroom is on the smaller end, however, knowing the history of the hotel, it comes at no surprise. The hotel itself has so much history and has quite a few famous guests throughout it's time. We are already planning our next trip back to Chicago and will likely stay here again! Highly recommend staying here!"

They upgraded me to a bigger room at no extra cost, which was a pleasant surprise. Amazing shower and a well stocked kitchen for cooking."
