The Anchorage Hotel

The Anchorage Hotel

8/10 Good
"Helpful and friendly host. Hotel has seen better days but new owner is working hard to bring hotel up to scratch and our family room was clean, comfortable and very spacious for a family of four. Tv reception was intermittent but we were only there for one night to catch the ferry so no bother. Continental breakfast was ok although the croissants didn’t look very continental but the staff were lovely, offering to fill our water bottle for the journey. Beautiful views from breakfast room window. The hotel is in a great spot for scenic boardwalks in area. Good value and very convenient stopover for the ferry."

Dinorben Arms Hotel

Dinorben Arms Hotel

10/10 Excellent
"From the moment we walked in we felt so welcome. Gary and Veronica were the perfect hosts making sure we had everything we needed. The room was simple and spacious and had plenty of tea and coffee etc. We also used the bar/restaurant downstairs in the evening which served lovely food for a great price. Breakfast was delicious the next morning and all perfectly cooked - they even had some delicious Glamorgan sausages for me as a vegetarian, a lovely surprise! What a bargain of a stay with perfect hosts, couldn't have asked for more."

Tre-Ysgawen Hall

Tre-Ysgawen Hall

8/10 Good
"Bed room clean. Mattress and pillows on the hard side. Shower room sensors stayed on all night so did not sleep very well. Noise and banging throughout the night, from the dining room below I think, dragging of chairs. Bathroom had recycled soap dispensers with clogged shampoo. Would have been nice to have had small unopened mini bottles for hygiene purposes. Fantastic evening meal and breakfast. Very friendly and helpful staff. Lovely hotel."

Frequently asked questions

You'll find a few local amenities like a community shop and a traditional pub, The Black Lion, which serves hearty meals. The village is set amidst rolling countryside, with narrow country lanes superb for leisurely drives or walks. It's a great base for exploring the Anglesey coastline, which is just a short drive away.Couples looking for a quiet retreat will appreciate the isolated feel of the area. When is the best time to go to Llanrhyddlad?

This period allows for comfortable walks along the Wales Coast Path, visits to local beaches, and enjoying outdoor activities without the chill or rain often associated with other seasons. For those interested in outdoor pursuits like hiking, cycling, or visiting historical sites such as the nearby Holyhead Mountain or South Stack Lighthouse, July and August offer the warmest conditions. While these months are popular, Llanrhyddlad itself remains a quiet village, providing a calm base even during peak season. If you prefer a slightly quieter experience with pleasant weather, May, June, and September are excellent choices. The landscapes are lush, and you can still enjoy most outdoor activities, often with fewer visitors than in the height of summer.
