![Built in 1737 during the Qing Dynasty, Black Dragon Pool is a very popular place to visit and a must see for travellers heading to China's Yunan Province.

It's reflective waters are incredibly peaceful and form a wonderful foreground to the views of the tallest mountains that lie in the background - Jade Snow Mountains.

This was one of my favourite spots I visited on one of my many trips to China - and I place I highly recommend visiting, especially in the Spring when the blossoms are out.

It was also great that they had the WeChat services which enable guest to contact the hotel directly for any request. Thought the idea was excellent. Highly recommended! "

"We booked this stay for the last night of our anniversary trip! The accommodation is located within the old town, thus no cars are allowed to enter. However the hotel staff had already contacted me far in advance to arrange luggage pick up so arriving to the hotel was very easy! They also arranged a quieter room for us and surprised us with a cake too! We loved the stay, very different to your usual city hotels but regardless it had all the amenities we needed. Rooms were clean, staff were friendly and location is quiet yet a stones throw away from tourist spots. "
