Great location if you want to stay in the old town. The property and rooms are very beautiful also very private. However it is the staff that really make this a wonderful place to stay. They are so helpful and kind.

It’s a beautiful hotel with very helpful staff. The location of the hotel cannot be better especially for people with luggage’s as it’s right at the edge of the ancient town so we don’t need to drag our luggage on narrow cobblestone roads in town. We went to eat inside the ancient town almost every day. The hotel consists of individual old-style houses which are very private yet inside is new and tastefully decorated. The staff were all extremely courteous and helpful with all we needed particularly on booking snow mountain tickets on WeChat. Would definitely stay there again and highly recommend the evening show at Mu Mansion in ancient town.

I stayed in the Suite at Hotel Indigo Lijiang Ancient Town, and it was truly remarkable. The traditional courtyard is gorgeous, quiet, and feels like a peaceful haven—yet it’s just a 5-minute walk to everything in the ancient town. The suite itself is top-notch: comfortable, spacious, and beautifully designed with local character.From the moment I checked in, the staff's warmth and hospitality were incredible. Unfortunately, a bad hit of altitude sickness meant I was in no condition to enjoy the room or the property the way it deserved. I had to cut my trip short and head straight back to Singapore.You really see what a hotel is made of when things go wrong like that. Instead of hiding behind fine print, the front desk team stepped up with real empathy. They waived the remaining nights of my suite on the spot and promptly confirmed the cancellation for my prepaid booking with Expedia so I could get a refund. If you want genuine, heart-led hospitality in a great location, this is the place to stay. I will vouch for them anytime, and whenever I make it back to Lijiang, I’ll be staying right here.

I had an amazing experience. The hotel is clean and cozy, great food, great location. Front desk personnel was very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. The room is modern and spacious. Excellent location as it’s just next to the old town. Staff is very friendly. As we had 2 rooms, I’ve emailed to the hotel in advance to have it near to each other. It was nice that they did as the hotel’s layout is like a courtyard style. So you can imagine if one has to walk from one building to the other in the cold. It was also great that they had the WeChat services which enable guest to contact the hotel directly for any request. Thought the idea was excellent. Highly recommended!

期待有所改善

房间内的空调开了，但是，没有风，所以，室内很闷。加上丽江的海拔有2000多米，晚上睡觉常常胸闷。冰箱开着，但是不制冷，放在里面的酸奶一天之后全部坏了。在一楼的尊享大床房住了二晚，每天早晨被楼上“咚咚咚咚”的脚步声吵醒。

Hotel Indigo

The hotel is superbly situated right next to Dayan Old Town, and has been designed to complement the old buildings. The rooms are huge and airy, with an enormous bathroom and bathtub, the bed is luxurious and super comfortable. Beautiful, well tended gardens. Absolutely amazing staff who are friendly, extremely helpful and speak English. I only stayed one night but would come back again.

Great Hotel in the heritage old town, easy to reach by car and taxi, and with access to all the services of the 20 Mt far Intercontinental Hotel. Personal very competent and welcoming in all aspects.
