"Lovely hotel in the heart of Kirkby Stephen. No breakfast, but could be arranged albeit for an extra fee, and a bit too late for walkers. Comfortable bed and bedding. TV and wifi worked well."

"Loved my spacious room and bathroom. The carpet was really stained and smelly, it needs to go. The carpet on the stairs up to the rooms was even worse. Staff were lovely."

"This definitely felt like home away from home! It had everything we needed and we were very comfortable. This gorgeous cottage is immaculate and spacious. It was easy to get to the Lake District and a bit of sightseeing locally as well. It is close to the supermarket and the Main Street with lots of food options. I loved being able to wake up and see peaceful countryside with sheep just across the road. The kids were absolutely delighted to see the sheep and some ducks at the stream nearby as well and they had a blast! Would definitely stay again for our next trip up North! (We drove up from London)"

"The accommodation was very impressive, extremely well equipped and immaculately clean with lovely extra's of snacks and freshly baked bread. The Alexa system was so easy to use and the shower was lovely.The only downside was that the deposit taken the day before arrival was more than the booking, so looking forward to getting that back a.s.a.p. and the twin beds were a bit smaller than a normal single bed. I would highly recommend this property to others as it is high quality accommodation."
