This is an old, charming property, which I like. The location was excellent. This is an island of stairs, so pack light. A backpack makes travel easy.
I would stay in this hotel again, but I did regret opting for a garden level and instead of upgrading to a higher floor. I hadn’t realized it’s not a private garden, and sometimes tourists walked by our window. Because of this we couldn’t leave our windows open to cooling breezes at night.
We stayed overnight to avoid the crowds, which was ideal. The shuttle parking was very easy, costing 20 euros in September. We avoided lines in either direction thanks to arriving opposite traffic in the late afternoon and leaving in the late morning.
We got a sunset dinner in the evening, and had lots of space and no line to tour the abbe in the morning.
Breakfast was excellent at the hotel, with a lovely view. Staff was friendly, and we enjoyed our stay at this hotel.
